Hmmm... a bit remiss of you not to keep a record of your bk. ref.

I always save the confirmation page and/or take a 'snapshot' of the page with Print Screen.

    Confirmations are normally received promptly.

Everyone at work is asking me why are they doing this as it must cost Ryanair a fortune. Does anyone know?

Promotions like these attract massive visitors to the ryanair website. some will get the 1p flights and some will end up booking other 'sale' seats that are not free. the last sale they had i couldn't find the 1p seats all inclusive but ended up paying tax and luggage and costs etc etc to a total of £60 for two flights to venice because i thought it was a good deal anyway. bit of an impulse buy. i cant use these seats now so ryanair have made £60 out of me for nothing.

This time i've got 2 flights to Riga for 4p all in and i'm only taking hand luggage! The lesson has been learnt!

(i also have an idea that Ryanair have links with the tourism boards of certain countries - i'd never have thought of going to Riga otherwise! - but i'll save that conspiracy theory for another day.....)

Thing with these promos, like the last one is people do not place any value on the service or product. At £100 each more care would be taken of ref nos etc. With 2p flights, Ive even read of people not remembering who is and isnt on the booking, even where to and when they are flying. I can guarantee there will be a massive amount of no shows as a result of these promos.
Im as guilty as the next person btw. I didnt go to Milan last year, just couldnt be bothered packing. The flight was only £22 rtn. If it had been more, Im sure I would have went.
    Its such a waste

I've saved so much money not going, the cost of going to and from the airports at each end of a 1p flight is enough for the best Sunday Roast in London.

I'm paying £4 return to get to Stansted Airport with EasyBus. It's just a interesting day trip, if you can be bothered. :)

BTW talking of going to the airport, a bit of trivia, it is apparently quicker to go on the train from Clapham Junction to Southampton airport than to go to Stansted.

  • Fortunately i'm a 5 minutes bus journey from Ringo Starr airport so it doesn't cost me anything to get there and back with my travelpass

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned but the 1p flights were also available on London Gatwick flights and not just Stansted - although obviously these are limited to a small number of routes to Ireland and not the choice you get with Stansted. The advertised 1p flights were not the only ones around...

dont forget all you anti ryanair posters, stick to your guns, remember the documentry about ryanair, the delays, cancelled flights, and the flight saftey issues, the poor old cabin crew, the disabled, the unpleasant micheal o leary, the carbon footprint lark, the steep aircraft steps, scratchcards

now is the time to be strong, sit on your hands, clean the gutters, whatever it takes

just dont book a flight with ryanair

free flights with ryanair, let the mugs have em

please im begging, i just cant get a free flight and im getting angry about it, people sneaking on those flights who aint got a good word to say about ryanair...it just aint fair, im sulking big time
