Hi!
Thought I'd pop over and check your diary out! Seems like you're doing really well and your SOA looks tight!!:T
I'm totally with you on Christmas and your holiday plan - there's no use being all MSE if you can't relax very occasionally and just enjoy yourself!!
I certainly agree with BeanieLou in respect of the holiday though...My best memories from childhood holidays were the free things my parents arranged for us...like if we were driving somewhere, they would make a folder for us each with games to play in the car; wordsearches, 'spot the car', I spy, etc etc...
If we would go somewhere where's there's something worth learning, we'd make a scrap book, stick in the different things we tried (usually sweet wrappers, serviettes from where we'd eaten, etc) and write all about it. We still have those scrapbooks and they really were the best part, whether we were camping down south or staying in luxury somewhere exotic! I know not so appropriate for a 19 month old but maybe your 5 year old
Good luck with it all, I'll come visit again another day :wave:Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,000/£10,000

Thank for the new subscribers and kind word.
An unexpected money situation has cropped up today but I don't mind as my daughter is so excited that the tooth fairy is visiting for the first time
Had a slight disaster on the meal plan diet front as I thought I had more jackets than I did (I bulk bake when the oven is on for a roast and then freeze for quick teas) I must have miss counted when doing the plan Friday. Kids had the planned tea but because I don't have time to cook something else for me until they are in bed I had 2 biscuits, a handful of haribo and 4 mini chicken satay as I was starving
Tomorrow is kids choice tea night, this week little miss has picked picnic dinner (I get the blanket out on the living room floor and we pretend we're somewhere having a picnic telling each other what we can see) the chicken satay were for this!
Checked my budget and I'm £5 over on last weeks entertainment budget and £16.84 on shopping, not too bad and I know I can pull it back next week

Grrrr today did not start well
4.40am power struggle with little man over sleep ended in a 1 all draw lol He did go back to sleep but by the time that happened it was 5.45 and there was no point going back to sleep myself with a 6.15am alarm. I am now so tired I am not sure I will be staying up much past the little peoples bed time.
The day then got even worse when I arrived at my desk at work and realise I had left my mobile in the car…..parked outside my house! Luckily I had gone in early also I live 10/15 min walk form work so I hot footed it back home….I am counting this as my daily exercise! I’m not one of those people who can’t go a day without my phone but it’s the contact number for both school and nursery so I don’t like to be without it when I am not with the little people.
Diet front going ok ish slice of toast and a cuppa for breakfast, hm veg soup, light bites and banana for dinner and doing ok on the water drinking front. Taking pack up to work is a new thing to a) save the £5 a day I was spending and b) reduce the amout of crap I am eating...Where I found £15 a week for lunches from is beyond me!
Money front nothing is really happening, spent £1.75 for breakfast club at school and I have 74p in my purse until Friday when my weekly budgets refresh. Need to recoup the over spend from last week and stick to budget this week. Need to fill the car up too, I have used an awful lot of petrol in the last week and a half…..need to watch that as I can’t up the budget and I can’t run out!
Other small victories include winning the battle with my very wild little miss, dealing with a little miss meltdown without ending up having one myself and finding my glasses (good job as I can’t afford to replace!)

Hope you get a ood night tonight xxTrying to shift that debt!0 -
I don't know where I used to find my money for lunches... well actually I do... It was my credit card!
But now you are acknowledging this you'd will never spend the same again! I still buy stuff, but I must spend only 5-10% of what I used to spend and that's even going to M&S!!! :rotfl:
