  • Some people have counters at the bottom of their posts, with things like pounds lost or pounds saved. Can we get one for WaS for the number of outings achieved this year? There is a target of 30 I believe but methinks that will be exceeded!:j

Hahahahaha! Yes! Real penguins! I was also told that I was lucky because they have a young one that has been hand fed and is therefore open for a cuddle! I wish that I could take you all with me.

I do have to say so far people have been very kind indeed. I have been very honest with them in my emails, explaining what I can and can't do as well as mentioning my blanket. So far all 3 places have gone out of their way to accommodate me, I am very touched by how kind everyone is being.

I should do that Solar! I am determined to do at least 12 days out this year for fun, the rest will be hospital appointments but it's still going out. The days will have to get a little cheaper after March because I am using the would-be council tax/water rates payments to pay for everything but I am sure I can still manage the beach and countryside.

Good idea, JM! I will be writing to everywhere I visit to thank them anyway. I shall do a little review of each experience here as well no doubt.

Believe me I'm trying!! Am already having a panic about driving tomorrow. It's so pretty, could happily sit and watch it for hours if I didn't have to leave the house.

Actually, good point, tea! I am out at an animal sanctuary on Friday, perhaps I don't want snow!

The lovely owner has just emailed after I asked about parking (I can't walk far and they don't have guest parking) and how much it would cost for WaSp and I for the afternoon as they do charge at weekends for visitors. She told me I could use the staff car park and that they don't want money from us, but would love some carrots, kale, cauliflower or parsnips for the animals!

For some reason that made me tearful in a good way...

    Ok, re ironing,....

I actually like ironing. I have!'t done much for a while as I am too weak ATM for repetitive light lifting of that nature. But I have convinced myself it is an aromatherapy steam treatment. With good posture its good for various muscles as exercise .

But...I don't iron jeans. I think it looks too goody goody. :)

Oh WaS that place sounds great :) It's so lovely to see how thoughtful and helpful people can be. It's easy to focus on how rubbish people can behave (only have to look at the news lately), so things like this really help to show that most people are actually lovely.
  • And OMG! How can we not have known about this?
