I was so upset because the good sewers were allowed to make this great humpty dumpty toy and I had to make a simplified version because I'm too clumsy. I was never any good at the arty, practical subjects at school.
There is a thick layer of snow on the ground and its still snowing. I shall take some photos on my dog walk later on.
We did skirts, all 30 of us did a pale blue swirly skirt with a very high waistband :rotfl: It took ages to thread it .... It's worse these days as I can't see to thread it!0 -

Hmmm that didn't go too well. As soon as we set out on our walk, the snow turned to pouring rain which made the snow on the ground into a pile of slush. Despite my winter clothes, I was soaked through in minutes, but snow is dumbass dog's favourite so we stayed out for ages. I have 2 photos but they're a bit slushy.
I will post these in a while.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I love, love, love sewing. I treated myself to a nice new machine last year and try and sew to cheer myself up when feeling low.
Shopping bags are a nice easy starter project with a useful result. I often use old curtains or bedding to make pretty and unusual bags.
Grumpy dog becomes a trembling wreck when he hears the low battery beep from smoke alarms. We had a problem one in a holiday cottage a couple of years ago and even after it was silenced he would refuse to enter the cottage after a day out. Poor Grumpy .
WaS I have found that temperature affects the smoke alarm batteries and they stop beeping when they warm up during the day and then beep again at night when it is cooler. So if you can get Wasp to change the battery it may prevent a reoccurance. Most of our alarms take those small rectangular batteries but best to take a look as they can vary.
We had a lovely, sunny but cold dog walk on our local common this morning. Off to visit elderly relatives shortly.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

Still looks quite snowy!
Not had any here at all yet, this winter.
Went outside at 6.59am to see the International Space Station, and the sky was completely clear; you could see all the stars, plus Jupiter, and the waning half-moon was brilliantly bright. The air was completely still, and despite the clear sky, it wasn't nearly as cold as I was expecting.
Had a lovely view of the ISS as it curved across the sky, past the moon, and finally disappeared.
I always send a silent 'hallo' up to the astronauts. I wish they allowed tourists to visit!
It's scheduled for the next few mornings, so hope the sky is clear again.(I just lurve spiders!)

And lovely frosty walking place!0 -
That looks amazing, code! Send it my way, please!
That makes sense, oyster. The beeping stopped after I put the heater on. We are staring up at it and scratching our heads because we can't reach it. We don't actually have an ordinary chair for WaSp to stand on, just a sofa, armchair and WaSp's computer chair which is on wheels. We may have to buy a ladder just for the purpose.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
