    And hugs from me too!

Sorry I've been AWOL for such a long time. I've been playing in an orchestra all day - lovely lovely music (Brahms Requiem) :D I have been reading, but no chance to post!

All the best to dog dog.

WaS, the remainder of your Christmas stuff (one small parcel and one card) is on its way - posted yesterday. You'll know why it was delayed when you open the parcel! (Not from me!) :rotfl:

melly - I'm sure work are trying to be helpful. But my experience is that HR departments throw a tantrum if you don't want to jump through their hoops. They try to persuade themselves they are there to support employees (of course they are really there to protect the employer) and they get all frustrated and anxious if they feel an employee is refusing their cuddles and support :D YOU know what is best for you - don't let them get to you!

  • Aw, what a lovely day JM! I hope the house is getting sorted! Another parcel?! I am excited! I am shortly about to use one of my Christmas gifts and make sushi. WaSp and I are looking rolls of seaweed warily!

  • House is slowly getting sorted. We hired a Transit for a few hours earlier in the week and managed to get the sofa and table back to the house. We've now decided that the table is too big, so the plan is to sell it (solid oak kitchen farmhouse table, anyone? List price £800, purchased by me for £500......) and buy a smaller dining table. I quite like this one http://www.oakfurnitureland.co.uk/furniture/knightbridge-5ft-3-solid-oak-round-extending-dining-table-4-brown-scroll-back-leather-chairs/1736.html but with cream chairs.

And I've ordered millions of storage cupboards. Well, about £3000 worth. These are supposed to arrive on Monday week. So then DH will construct them, and we'll have a tidy house. (For about 5 seconds, I imagine. :D)

  • Oooh, that's pretty JM! You can't have enough storage! We have one cupboard in the whole flat and it's ridiculous. That is in the kitchen. Storage tubs are my friend! Glad to here that you are getting sorted, a sofa must be nice! (you do have a bed, right?).

  • Yes, we always had a bed. It was just the downstairs which was being sorted out. (Upstairs is still to be done, apart from the roof. But wasn't as bad. Apart from the roof.)

Oooooo! Look what I've found! A penguin!

I hope it isn't actually a penguin for anyone, but it might be........Take it in the positive spirit - the healing properties of a hug (or warm handshake, if people prefer).

    !
Ooh! That brought back memories! Studied Brahm's Requiem for Music 'O' level.........."Tod, Tod, wo ist dein Stachel!" ("Death, Death, where is thy sting!")
(Even though I was doing German, so knew what Tod meant, I still liked to have a giggle envisaging a toad with a spear poking people! [Tod in German is pronounced like toad.] Incorrigible, even then!).............

Good morning all! The smoke alarm that is right above my head has a low battery. I know this because it is bleeping loudly every 30 seconds resulting in me jumping out of my skin. WaSp is asleep, may I hit it with a broom, please?

I was woken up by the beginning of a cluster headache. Ironically, this is the first one I've had since the neurologist appointment and I am meant to be keeping a diary about them. So far the nasal spray and standing up every 10 minutes seems to be helping, the bleeping smoke detector isn't.

Ok, the smoke detector needs to stop. It is also flashing a red light everytime it bleeps, as if it was taking a photo. Logically, I know that it isn't but the quiet whisper of psychosis tells me otherwise. This is going to mess with my head if it continues.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Can you leave the room where the smoke detector is was?

Its Not taking photos, its there to protect you from fire. But there is no need to be tormented by flash and noise, particularly with headache.

Dressing grown update. Fir loves it so much HE ordered one the same, lol. Monsoon did a short phase of doing men's clothes. Fir has obviously decided to relive that moment. :)
