    Grrr.

My endocrinologist called fir today saying my GP has made yet more errors.

This is a pain and makes it so hard to trust.

  • Ugh, sorry to hear that LIR. My GP's have messed up a couple of times and my endocrinologist has discovered it, not least when they were using only one thyroid test for me which was coming back fine and ignoring the more indepth test which when taken showed huge problems. At least you have the endocrinologist on the ball.

Health wise no. My GP has failed to answer some questions and to contact me about a date with a meet and greet with a potential surgeon. Which means its no longer possible. But they wouldn't have done anything while I have a cold.

Good morning all! We were locked in the bedroom earlier! After the constant beeping of the smoke detector for half of the night a very grumpy WaSp got up to deal with it (throw something at it) and the door handle fell off in his hand! I being ever helpful just burst out laughing because there he was standing staring at me in the bedroom holding a door handle. He managed to attach it well enough for us to get out. These flats are falling apart...

I have a friend who lived alone in a first floor flat this happened to her with the living room door (the only exit) she had left her phone in the kitchen. In the end she had to shout out the window to catch a passerby :rotfl: they contacted her boyfriend to come and help her, he managed to open the door from the other side.

Hahahaha! We are lucky that didn't happen to us! Fortunately the letting agent is here tomorrow to measure for new windows so we will ask him to take care of it. We are not closing the door until then!

That won't delay your surgery will it, LIR?

  • We decluttered the bedroom, or rather WaSp did and I directed. We have absolutely no storage built into this flat other than a kitchen cupboard so had a lot in boxes that was never unpacked when we moved here. A lot is in the bin or the charity shop now. We still have to remove furniture and ornaments (and cuddlies) to give access to the windows in the living room but things are looking better than they were.

Now I am all anxious and paranoid because my stuff has gone. I have huge problems with decluttering, it makes me very afraid.

Do you mean you tackled the Underbed of Doom, WaS? Well, that's brilliant!

I remember you saying that didn't know what was in those boxes. So at least you've been able to sort it it!

Did you find your passport? :D

I know what you mean, though.

Just hold onto the thought that in a week or two you won't even remember what's gone! :)

  • I found my passport! And yes, the Underbed of Doom is gone! As have the Boxes of Great Mystery! I found a few things that I have been looking for, much medication that is 7 years old which has gone back to the pharmacist and a lot of random items that I haven't needed for 6 years so have gone to the charity shop to be useful to someone. (Please tell me that is true and they aren't upset because I got rid of them).

It looks much better but somehow I just want to make an igloo out of everything I own and hide inside of it whilst sobbing about my things.

Things that go to charity shops are much, much happier than being stuck in a box for 6 years!
They'll be on nice shelves in the open and then will go to new homes and the charity will get some money.

Much, much better than being in a box under the bed!
