    Hi all!

Yes better, WaS. Still some cough, but much better. Have decided to stay in bed today and then hopefully I'll be ok tomorrow, although whether I go to any of my 3 classes depends how I am later today and tomorrow morning.

WaS, years ago I rode a motorbike, and in winter, I'd get home chilled to the marrow, top to toe. The only, only thing that warmed me up was to get into a deep, hot bath and just lie there until I felt warm again. Does that work for you?

    I love

  • Don't worry about work, melly. You have sent in your registration now so it is dealt with. I am crossing everything that the rest of your day goes well.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better, Pyxis! The bath is a really good idea! My temperature tends to get 'stuck' when it goes to extremes, I either stay freezing for hours or boiling hot and no matter how much the environment changes my temperature doesn't. I shall nag WaSp to run me a bath when he gets up shortly (a certain someone was up playing Minecraft until 6am!).

Interestingly, the bath thing works if you're hot too! During those incredibly hot spells we had a few years ago, I would run a cold bath and lie in it just to get cool. You could try that, but perhaps not with a very cold bath, maybe blood heat - you know, where it doesn't feel hot or cold. But it may cool you off when you feel unbearably hot.

  • I never knew that! I would never have occurred to me to try it. I am sitting here with a hot water bottle on my chest under two blankets with the heater on full blast and I'm shivering! WaSp's weather station says it is 21c, it lies I tell you! Lies!

Hello tea. *waves* hope you've made it through your emails. Dumbass dog took himself off to bed which made things a bit easier. But I'd really rather be having dog cuddles than dealing with the poostorm here. Everything failed while I was away.

WaS aside from the bath thing, one thing I do when I'm cold is put on the electric blanket, take my clothes off and get into bed.

Hugs melly. Deal with what you can. Work can wait

  • That's another good idea, code. I think a hot bath and then diving under the covers with my electric blanket sounds perfect.

Sorry to hear about the poostorm. Are there others suffering as a result of it as well as you? At least you can have a mutual whine together then. You have made it to the afternoon, you will be home with dumbass dog soon!

Too right they can wait! You all saw the resignation letter does that not indicate I have a hell of alot on my plate. This underscores that I made the right decision.
  • I agree, melly. You have made your position clear to them, you don't need to worry now.

Lunch or snack time, code to give you an energy boost?

I love oil. I use oil as a cleanser sometimes and its my preferred bath addition over bubble bath etc.

I also love scrubby things, like salt and sugar scrubs

Oh yes, I enjoy the scrubs too & I have so many to use now :D
