LIR, I did find the thing with the phone very strange. In fact the more I think of it, the odder I find it.

    Happy Christmas day WaS

Please be careful. Its just as easy to exercise to increase your needs and not make up the deficit you have created.

    Mellymoo, do you like avocados?
The reason I ask is because they are an easy, yet nutritious way of taking in a good number of calories with very little effort. I used to recommend them to people who needed to up their calorific intake but who had little appetite, and they usually found it worked well.

I don't mind because I have an old phone I can use and I have known i would get that phone since summer. Tbh, I found the vanity of the portrait as odd.

I don 't 'mind' either. But the conversations were pretty harrowing at times ( how dissatisfying life is, the terrible times they have had how my life will be better when I pull my socks up and get well...( not their fault, I don't discuss health with them, but my condition is not one that is recoverable from and we were told I'd kick the bucket in my twenties, so we manage it as 'potentially life limiting' but I joke I'm indestructible because nothing has got me yet) and we were told about the relatives who hate us and why. ( particular focus on a member of family with who. I know longer have contact which is very hard for me, but I chose it, and I think the other member prefers it too, and lots of falsehoods are told to 'justify' why we don't talk'.
  • there are SO many recipes available for the fast days now its ridiculous ly easy to find good low cal recipes.

I must be the laziest 5:2 er ever! All I eat on fast days is either what we affectionately refer to as 'cat food' (something like http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/john-west-tuna-light-lunch-mediterranean-220g ) or an Innocent ready meal. I leave eating as late as possible (8pm for choice) since I actually find the time AFTER I've eaten the most difficult time!

I do cheat by drinking tea with as little milk as I can bear throughout the day, though - 3 or 4 cups in total.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

LIR.......Oh dear, that sounds pretty harrowing. :(

JM snap! Re. the eating late! I tend to stick to oranges and tomatoes and loads of green leafy stuff.
Yes, it's worse after eating, because the little amount you eat acts as an appetiser and stimulates the appetite!
Luckily I don't take milk in tea any more, so can have lots of cups of (green) tea, so that's no hardship!

  • Total change of plan! WaSp and I are having a New Years celebration! We have both been sick again so forget it for the rest of the week. Decorations will stay up, roast dinner will be prepared, crackers will be pulled and silly hats worn and presents will be unwrapped! We shall just stay in heaps for the rest of this week instead.

I do will try that tomorrow hopefully the fact I know their calorific won't stop me eating them.
Today had 2 hours sleep and half a small slice of Turkey and a small pickled onion.
Hopefully an transfer the obsession to the band then up food intake the fact I'm eating anything is ace. Lots of stress stopping eating is the only way I have of coping
  • Thanks all for your supportive comments.

LiR, I know it was not personal (in fact the poster made a point of saying so), but it was still upsetting me, so that is why I politely asked him/her not to mention weight loss in connection with me again. I appreciate everybody has a right to their point of view. No problem with that.

I know, at my worst I weighed 5 stone. Currently at 7.5 getting better at recognising the start. It isn't about being thin I know I am far from fat it's about control so if I can shift my control to something other than what I am consuming I will be fine.
The band acts as a visual aid to help me shift focus.
