Good morning all! It's all happening at Milliefleur's! In fact she phoned us because she's a tad overwhelmed! At 8am a "woman with a book" turned up, asked her how she was, if she had slept ok and asked if she needed anything, told her she would see her this evening, then signed the book and left. Milliefleur is utterly confused. At 10am her social work arrived and explained what was happening which Milliefleur missed half of because she was panicking. At midday "a lovely lad who looked like he should be at school" brought her hot a meal. At 1pm a district nurse arrived and treated the ulcer on her leg and said she will be back tomorrow and right now there is a man "putting up red string all over the house!" That would be the new panic cords then.

She is certainly getting support, she is just going a bit mad!

And she just called again asking if she could put us both down as next of kin because two ladies from Help the Aged have arrived! She gave them BIL's details and they asked for other next of kin's which is interesting. On the bright side they are very nice and made her tea. She is going to call again later with a round up of her day.

Hahahahaha! Milliefleur was laughing herself in the end, the man with the red string was hilarious, she had no idea what it was for but didn't like to ask so offered him tea and chatted in hope that he might mention it! She is sure that her social worker explained all of this but she was too busy panicking to pay attention. The schoolboy meal deliverer was an immediate hit because he was so polite and offered to put it out on a plate for her. Woman with a book should be back soon!

Oh, and that would be a blanket shaking in the corner with a tiny pug shaped blanket next to it!

Update! She has called us before bed. Schoolboy turned up with more cooked food at 6pm! She is all confused because she normally has one main meal a day (which is part of her weight problem). We told her well now she has two. Woman with a book arrived at 7pm and asked if there was anything she needed for the night? Milliefleur asked if she could come later in the mornings but was the told the idea is to check she is ok before bed and first thing when she gets up. Besides it would clash with her carer who will help with personal care. Milliefleur wasn't aware that that was going to happen either.

Help the Aged people were lovely, and have said that they will for arrange someone to take her to church again every Sunday. She really misses it and BIL is always too hungover to help her. They will be coming back next week and also mentioned that they could arrange for someone to take her out for a cup of tea once a week.

So Milliefleur is feeling tired and a bit drowned in people! From what we can gather someone will check her before bed and first thing in the morning, a carer will arrive to help with personal care and a meal will be delivered twice a day. She now has red string in all rooms to pull to alert someone if she needs to as well as her panic bracelet. Help the Aged are helping with the social side of things which means she will have her club on Tuesday, Church on Sunday and hopefully another day going out for tea. We are pretty impressed with everything! Milliefleur not so much because she feels invaded but we hope she will get used to it. She has now gone to bed so that she is up and ready for woman with a book in the morning.

Oh, and BIL is currently on the phone to WaSp ranting about nosey busy-bodies. WaSp has to keep covering the mouthpiece so he can laugh. I am giggling and decorating my Christmas tree.

His nose is so far of joint it's at the back of his head. What he's narked about is that people may see the drunken state he gets into. Tough!

Poor MiL! Talk about sublime to ridiculous! I must say, I'm really impressed with all the help she's getting! There's hope for us all yet!

Is BiL's girlfriend out of the equation? There's been no mention of her for a while!

Funnily enough I have some green and red ribbon on my tree!

You are totally correct, errata. He is saying how he can't relax when he visits now with people coming in and out all of the time. What he means is he can't get drunk. He is hiding it by saying how it isn't fair that his mum gets disturbed so much but we know that it is him being disturbed that he doesn't like. We also doubt it will go down well with the woman with the book if he staggers downstairs at 8am to open the door smelling of alcohol if he stays overnight like he used to, when he would sit up and drink and use Milliefleur's internet for half the night. As you say, tough! We are amused.

BIL's girlfriend is very on/off! It seems to depend how drunk they are. Ironically he says she gets drunk and is aggressive...

You are all making me laugh more and more. I am being shushed by WaSp so that BIL doesn't hear me!
