I am off out for lunch.

ps WaS, I think cardfactory usually has big christmas giftbags pretty cheap. You may want 1 big or a selection of them for millefleur's presents (may as well upset BIL-bo again)

If she likes sounds, you could give her a set of tuned windchimes for indoors. They're not cheap, but a tuned one gives a fantastic sound. I hang them on doors, or from the door lintel, so that my head brushes them and sets them off! I treated myself to a monster one, which is hung from my front door, inside, so every time I go in or out it chimes, or I just give it a shake to set it off!
I'll find the link and edit it in! (Won't go and look mid-post, as I did that just now and lost my draft post! Grr.)

    This is the shop..Woodstock windchimes.
Look at the Encore collection. Mine are Chimes of Earth, but they do different chimes for each planet.
There's also the Classic collection, which has more.
Some of them have audio files so that you can hear the tuned tinkling. Beautiful!

They come in different sizes, so the smaller ones are cheaper, but still tuned.

  • Those windchimes would be perfect! And so are the sandals! They look comfy enough to keep her steady and pretty enough for her and the perfect colour. Thank you!

  • The sandals are very pretty, but they look as if they have elastic round the ankles. Not sure these are suitable for an elderly person, as ankles often swell up?????

  • Oooh, is that elastic? Good point, JM.

  • Yes, pretty sure for two reasons - if you look on the website and magnify, it does look like elastic, and there is no visible fastening for the ankle bit so I'm pretty sure it is. :(

  • Hmm, ok I need something like that without elastic. Her ankles do swell unfortunately.

They do have a white sandal with a strap. You could add extra decoration to match to your outfit. I guess it just depends on the whole ensemble.

I did wonder, WaS, if Bil-bo would like to give you, say £10 or £20 and be part of Millefleur's present with you and WaSp. That way, he hopefully won't get upset, you all get the pleasure of giving, and he doesn't have the hassle of getting it.

Well, if it's any help, the lady that was wearing them, when I commented on how nice they were, and asked what were they, she must be in her 70s! :) she said how comfortable and soft they felt.
Does MiL go out much? And if she does, does she do much walking? If not, I doubt it'd be a problem!
They also do this style, but not in pink. This is platinum, and they do silver, white and black.8b89aa320c929a576d3e2b5b06bec689_zps97c673b3.jpg

On this view, the strap doesn't look tight.d007fb4c7d5903f105684858159aff70_zps66ca1d23.jpg
