Our waiting room has a variety of books for perusal. Unfortunately they're all in German. We have a big Eastern European population but as far as I know, not many Germans.

  • Well done for going in code! I find a neck pillow really helps with nerve pain, I don't need to use it all of the time but a few times a day takes the edge off. Would your employers consider getting you a better chair? You can buy some cushions especially created to improve posture. Keep an eye on it and if after making changes it doesn't improve do go back again. My nerve pain is as a direct result of my arthritis but posture definitely does help, as well as not sleeping too high in bed. I used to be a 3 pillow person but once I reduced it to 1 things got much better.

Also, code, if you can afford it have an Alexander Technique lesson. They are really excellent!

PS I'm not so sure I want WaS's parcel delivered today. It's officially her birthday every day until it arrives, right? :D

    Happy unbirthday, WaS.

Well done, codemonkey - this time of year just thinking about a Dr appt is a hassle.

Am very impressed you got in Code - it's at least a three week wait round here. Three cheers for your GP!

Have you had a DSE assessment at work, it's a legal requirement if you're on a computer for much of the time so you should have done. Give me a shout if you need any more details (am a trained DSE assessor and qualified H&S person)

Has anyone got a Bah Humbug picture for me today? I have got too much to do.

    I must count my blessings...

Lady at the bus stop told me that she sees littlewing and I walking to school each day and littlewing is always so happy.

DH brought me a coffee in bed this morning before he left for work. (But this is not making up for how resentful I feel that he didn't put washing in the machine, even though I didn't ask him to).

Oh, sorry people, it's not good. I am getting a lot done but only 80% of everything I touch so nothing is coming together right now.

ETA: I really messed up this month as I ran out of my anti-d's. This meant I had to decide not to take any over the weekend so that I can have my last one today. (I can't get the next lot until Tues or Wed). I am meant to have food with it but got caught up with other chores on the way to work so can't get to have healthy food, The only stuff I have here is a box of (admittedly very lovely) luxury chocolate biscuits to last me until late evening when I finally get home.

Take no notice of my whinging, it will be sugar crashes and I will be fine again soon. All the horrible family stuff is over (and every bit as bad as feared) so I can work on detaching myself better from the stress of it now decisions are made.

Aw, sorry to hear that, whitewing. It sounds frustrating. Here's hoping it all miraculously leaps together this afternoon.

WaSp is stationed by the window looking out for packages, he isn't going anywhere all day so we won't miss it, plus we have a ridiculously loud doorbell so the neighbours won't miss it either. I am excited!

Milliefleur is home tomorrow! Her sister and cousin have driven down to visit today and stay with her for a few days after she comes home tomorrow, so WaSp is staying here as there is a limit to how many people can visit at once.

    Haha! This made me laugh!
One of my dogs hated going to the Vet, but the other one didn't mind at all! The one that didn't mind had far more done to her over the years!
