Have a look at this website. I love this coat, but this will probably be way over budget. (I am getting carried away as I have never had the opportunity to search for size 10 before!)

Hmm,it is a bit expensive but it is exactly her style, she used to have lots of clothes like that. I wonder if there is a cheaper version?
She has a better figure than I have, I was probably last a size 10 when I was around 13.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

It is a lot overbudget if you are buying a whole outfit.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
She does wear perfume! that would be nice to include, too as long as doesn't break the bank. She likes flowery scents but not things like lavender or violet! The last lavender gift scent she was given also came in my direction due to being too old for her!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Don't get too carried away - wait for the full sales for something like a coat (yes, I always wanted one of those in the seventies, too!) We could all look for an Afghan style coat and I'm sure find something much much cheaper.
:hello: Welcome to the thread millefleur! (although I hope she is not reading as she will see all our plans! Does she use the computer with a programme to read things out to her? Although I see she has hearing problems as wellEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
No, sadly she can't use her laptop at all now. We got her a voice programme which worked for a while when her eyesight failed but now her hearing is also bad. It frustrates her hugely because she loved keeping up with the world for the time she could do so and she loved skyping with the younger members of her family.
Good idea about the sales! That coat is definitely something she would wear, years ago she gave me lots of her scarves and loose tops (she has always been slimmer than me) from the 60's and 70's which were so pretty. It is still very much a style she likes.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I found the coat while I was looking for a gilet.
There is a gilet here that is cheaper but still probably overbudget. May be worth getting WaSp to check out the charity shops and second hand shops

Those socks are so pretty, I would wear those! I shall buy a pair. We are doing well so far! I am so grateful for the help, to think two hours ago I had no idea what to buy.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
