Thank you pyxis, I feel better now and I am sorry that I am turning the thread into a stropathon.

I am off to put my washing on the airer and wrap up a few Christmas presents. I'll be back (maybe lurking) later.

It might be soothing if we all have a good stare at some lovely blue-turquoise to pour velvet thoughts over our minds..........................

I wasn't going to comment further on this - beyond my semi-apology for not thanking the post. I genuinely thought I had thanked it, but sometimes the thanks button doesn't work on my phone or my fat thumbs hit the wrong thing. I did appreciate the post and did some research following it because I found it interesting.

However, these events followed a traumatic event for me, and what I needed was to talk about random, normal things and not think about anything heavy or anything that puts pressure on me to think about my problems. As far as I was aware this thread is not solely about mental health issues and treatments, although I do really like reading about it, especially the way WaS's conditions interact - in uni I learned about these conditions in the singular, but also about doing what we need to feel 'normal'. In some cases, for me, that is talking about things that haybel so scathingly dismissed, like bread and cheese and pets in costume. However, if I'm wrong, I'll leave the thread, as I have little to contribute to the therapy discussions. The limited amount of counselling I've had was not helpful to me.

I am sorry if I upset you haybel. Feeling ignored is horrible and that was not my intention to leave you out of the conversation or ignore the post. I think it's time to end this now before we upset WaS.

Also it's JM's 20th birthday today so she shouldn't have this either. Happy birthday JM.

Oooo, don't you dare leave the thread, codemonkey!
You're quite right, the 'normal' things are necessary, too. We need to look outwards as well as inwards!

Also, humour is a great therapy. I swear by it. :D
Humour and music, the two great panaceae. (Hope that's the right plural!)*

So, JM's birthday. Tell you what, anybody that knows how to post pics on here, why not find a nice pic to 'give' JM for her birthday? :D

    * yes it is panaceae! although panaceas appears to be correct as well.

CM you won't leave the thread, we won't let you

I think we all feel ignored sometimes, quite often I read a couple of pages in one go as I don't go online as much now then get distracted so don't go back to thank/comment till later. I also don't comment when I'm on my phone as the buttons are too small.

I actually find deleted posts very difficult as I have said before (and had some lovely replies)
