Oh, oh,oh I have that! I thought it was just me, I love this thread! Everytime I eat I get so hot that I can have sweat running down my face from my forehead and I am boiling for hours afterwards. Thank you for sharing that, LIR. I have never met anyone that happened to before, it was so embarrassing when I used to eat in public.
I do hope you feel a little less under the weather soon.

I think its a metabolic thing.
Its normal to get a bit warmer when we eat I think, but our extreme reaction is probably something to do with our crazy hormone/neuro endocrine response.
I've got a new funny thing to day that I will raise next time I see some one, but which I do not believe to be urgent. ( and I am not asking for medical advice but would be interested if you have similar was) my fingers are all prunified as if I have been in the bath, though in have not been.0 -

Yes! I almost jumped in the air then, I really shouldn't be so enthusiastic about these things. My toes are the same, I usually have pruned fingers and toes although my toes can be blue at the same time looking as if they are very cold. I have had pruned fingers for 5 years now, my consultant just tends to look and nod and mark it down. I really am so sorry that you have these symptoms, LIR but thank you so much for sharing. It is a relief to me to find others have the same thing.
Ooh, that is a good point Errata. Addisons Disease can cause dehydration so that is a possibility. Thank you, I shall try and drink more.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Wrinkled fingers can be a symptom of dehydration.
I'm fairly sure its not that. Though two of my pills have diuretic effect I drink an awful lot of fluids ( the guidelines given to me by my team and most recently confirmed by the nephrologist) and all other signs of hydration are good. Pale piddle, good pinch test.0 -
On the note of diuretics mine drive me insane. I have worked out that I can't drink anything two hours before sleeping or I am up and down to the bathroom all night. It is an awkward balance because I need to drink a lot with Addison's Disease but I also retain a lot of water, basically I am constantly either back from or needing to go to the bathroom.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Funnily enough my nail colour is good,( they've been blue more often, so I think the reynauds is impacting on my digits more now....at least its less odd that having just weird nipples :rotfl:) and actually looking at them my fingers are improving now) I hadn't thought to look at my toes:o....just checked, they are fine, and deliciously warm. ( fluffy slippers and ski socks!. If you can get warm feet life is good, right? I hate it when my bones get cold and it doesn't matter how warm every one says I should be it doesn't happen. I'm going to try not letting myself GET so cold this year and see if that helps.

Through the day I need to piddle a lot, and odd nights I can be back and forward to loo. Other nights I'm like a camel. I drink non stop, barely waking. I drink a bottle of water over night and then piddle as soon as I wake. I couldn't do that at all through the day. I mean I drink loads, but I also piddle loads.0 -
I always have socks on, in fact every Christmas if anyone asks me what I want I ask for socks! I have been trying to find bed socks because my feet and ankles swell by the end of the day and then they become too tight but they seem to be impossible to track down unless you want to pay a high price.
I agree with you, I am probably going to put the heating on soon even though I really don't feel as if I need it. I am usually colder than I think I am, this is how I ended up with bad pneumonia years ago, I had flu then just felt so hot I was going out in the snow in just a light dress for weeks. It didn't take long to turn into an infection so I mustn't repeat that.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I'm wearing HIDEOUS socks from tesco that are really thick but super warm. They actually help pain in my feet, because they feel like little soft cushions they are so fat? maybe they'd help you too? Next time I'll go I'll see if they have the little stand there and find out what they are called, They are fine. when I swell, and my right foot and ankle in particular swell badly.
I wear them in booty slippers this year my slippers are rabbits in quite firm felt which I think are safer than squooshier ones. I also have some squooshier pink ones which sort of match my dressing gown, which I then tore. ( not a fan of pink, but that was the only dressing gown I've ever felt comfortable in)0
