Just got in. SOOO HAPPY to see all the posts, and to see what a great achievement WaS has performed today.
Enjoy your MIL, WaS! How lovely for you to have a loving maternal figure in your life - someone who genuinely loves you and WaSp, so that you are a happy family together (I mean even when you aren't physically together). I'm sure you will have done him a lot of good today as well
OK, I must GTB soon as I have to be at Kings Cross by 8.30 tomorrow.....Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
White wing Thank you for your post as it directed me to the 30 wishes thread. I have decided I will make a twiddle muff.
Do we have to make 4 items of post each? I hope I van join in as an occasional thread visitor?
I will make 4. A card to my great aunt, mil an old friend abroad and one to go with a new baby gift if that counts?
PS WaS I'm genuinely delighted you made it to mil and trying to work out where the beach trip was so I can read about that. Many best wishes.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Does a letter to a management company to a block of flats count? I have to do one of those!
I can also send one to my disabled friend in London.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

I must remember to catch up with this thread more often, loving the positivity and it has given me a ray of sunshine on what is turning out to be a be of a "cloudy" week.
Lots of love to you all!

Nobody 'has' to do anything on this thread. We all do what we feel able to do IF we feel able to do it at the time. Any suggestions are things that some of us may like to do.
Happy Tuesday everyone. I have to take DD for blood tests later at the local hospital. Not sure how she is going to get on with the needle!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Hugs to Whitewing's dd.
Breathe in, then breathe out just as they do the test. It does help. As does counting the breaths in & out, a little bit more out than in.Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.0 -

I've just managed a muddy dog walk with a friend. So nice to get out and have a natter. The good/bad news is they have managed to sell their house so will be moving away. It's lovely they can finally achieve their dream of buying a smallholding and I am happy and excited for her but will really miss her. We've been friends since our 22 year olds were babies, looked after each other through all sorts of family crisis'. So happy and sad today.
Off swimming this afternoon with another friend, I seem to go for days without seeing anybody and then everything happens on the same day !! Hopefully being busy will stop me getting too low for the moment.
I hope WaS is OK after her busy day yesterday.
Will be thinking of Whitewing and Littlewing, not much fun having blood tests at any age but especially bad when you're tiny. Distraction and then a treat and hugs is the way forward. Especially hoping the results are OK. They don't stab little ones without good reasonDecluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20
