I'd been tracking your thanks for the last couple of days, and then it became obvious you were going to hit the big 300k when I was out this evening at my first AmDram 'performance'! Typical!
So I decided I'd post it early;you might not have seen it until after the zeros clicked in, and even if you did, (which you did!) it would only be a small amount of time before they did, so I went for it!!!

That's all a bit garbled, but never mind!

Anyway, I just got home, and see! The zeros did click in while I was out! :T :T

Gosh, thank you! What a very kind thought. :)

I have no idea what's going on in my head, but I've had a few days alternating between being so grumpy that Gitdog is hiding when he hears me coming, and wanting to burst into tears. I've been out and about doing nice things, but as soon as I get home my irritability levels are going through the roof. Poor sleep probably isn't helping. Any kicks up the backside or helpful suggestions welcomed. (Well, probably greeted with mutterings and grumpy mumblings rather than welcomed but you get the gist.)

Well. Sort out sleep first of all may be?

All dibuzz's tips...create a routine,, set a bed time and a rising time and stick to them, be kind to yourself, maybe try a sleep meditation or hypnosis no electrics or reading etc.

If you are irritable then you are...you have read on to be piddled off with life right now...I think, personally, sometimes that's kinda natural.

My tip is a weepy film and have a good sob to help release those stress chemicals, elsien.

If you need to cry then just let it go elsien, the more you try & hold it in the worse it can make you feel. You'll feel a lot better after a good sobbing session too. Can you concentrate to read a good book? I find that this can sometimes take me out of myself, also if you can't sleep you can read.

The sleep thing isn't insomnia, and I'm not aware of having disturbed nights, although I probably am - there's some very odd dreams in there.. Its more waking up feeling completely un refreshed and urgh.
I've been telling myself for the last couple of weeks to turn the laptop off earlier and get my !!!! to bed at a reasonable time, or at least before midnight. Can't seem to actually do it though - even if I've done lots of exercise I seem to wake up again at 10ish. No will power in that respect.
(Having a warm and comfortable Gitdog doing a dead weight on my lap doesn't help. And no he's not coming anywhere near the bedroom! )

elsien, grumpy and weepy is my default setting especially at certain times of the month. I find more sleep works (not just at night, I love naps), and taxing my brain so its got less time to be destructive. Also I notice it more if i'm not eating properly or drinking enough. Huge hugs though. It's horrible.

You're not meno by any chance are you elsien? I find that I will be dead tired, so I go to bed, & go to sleep as soon as my head touches the pillow, which is rare for me. I'd wake up & feel great, thinking I'll get up now then realize that I've only been to sleep for 10 minutes. Then I'm awake for the rest of the night. Lack of sleep is linked to the meno.

It could be worrying about your job search, & all the changes that you've been through lately?

    Hi codemonkey :)

    I just made a phone call!! :j

My phone fear is weird given that I used to work in a call centre and actually enjoyed it. Make me call a business though and I freak out.
