My antidepressants now are slow release (XL) versions. It does seem better to me, although I haven't tried this brand not on slow release.
codemonkey, when I was in the assessment phase of my mh condition, it really irritated me when people said, 'Worry about it when it happens'. Now I have started to live my life mostly by this philosophy, and it makes a huge difference to my anxiety levels. You'll be able to cope with work tomorrow so don't let it ruin today. WaS, it is said that it's easier to come off heroin than quit smoking, so you've done real good! As already mentioned you can get the Nicorette inhalator on prescription free if on a benefit, save you a few quid if suitable for you. I went to a no smoking group at the Medical Centre & they gave me stress balls .... I never thought I'd stop but if I can do it then anyone can. When I went to hospital to have my op when I had breast cancer I was able to take my inhalator too, whilst everyone was climbing the walls & wanted a fag I was happily sucking away on my inhalator
I think a lot of places have banned ecigs but not inhalators, so that could be another bonus.
elsien, I love to see a dog in a nice outfit.
LIR, I have a bad back at the moment too, it's a posture thing with me I think.
Glad to hear the date went well MU!

Mine are slow release too. The hardest thing for me has been remembering to take them in a morning, the mirtazapine was taken at bedtime.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
I think 99.9% of what I worry about never happens. I can worry about some very bizarre things. I can make up whole stories with the things I worry about.
Penguin for aeroplanes (don't read this if travelling soon, it isn't that bad but you may think of it)
I read somewhere that you are more likely to be kicked to death by a donkey than die in an airplane crash. Instead of reassuring me that gave me aeroplanes and donkeys to worry about.

Just back from the job centre after an interesting meeting with my "job coach." I promised myself I would smile nicely and play the game. Which lasted about 5 minutes - I find tolerance with jobsworths difficult at the best of times. Our first disagreement was about my refusal to give them access to my universal jobs match page, our second was about my disinclination to apply at the moment for certain jobs for which I have no training or experience whatsoever, and so on. Doesn't bode well for sanctions further down the line.
I've got 3 months to apply for positions equivalent to my last, and that's what I plan to do. They don't like it though, even though its their rules that say that.
Vent over.

You rebel, elsien - are you in contact with any of your old colleagues? Quite a few of my friends hear about jobs through other people they know.
Don't forget that a lot of jobs offer training and a lot of skills are transferable. Most important things to me as an employer is that someone is reliable and willing - they can be taught the rest.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. We were discussing that most care managers jobs at the moment are for old people's homes, and I gave my considered opinion that no one was going to offer me a job at that level when I've never worked with older people. I know skills are transferable, but a basic knowledge would seem to be what a manager might be expected to have. And probably a nursing qualification. She couldn't see the problem.
Then suggested admin in a school instead. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
