    I've been Money Tipped!
Elsien, I agree strongly with WaS, worry is not a competition. Stress is stress. You share yours here with pride and equality for goodness sake ( or is that for pug's sake?) , and the concerns about income are every bit as stressful as health ones, they can make us more ill, indeed.

    Thanks.
Am currently sitting here eyeing up Gitdog and pondering potential money-making opportunities to ensure he earns his keep. My mind has gone strangely blank. :rotfl:

She could be a drug smuggler

Nothing quite so exotic I can assure you. I used to work for a company developing ports and building islands. Now however I have a slightly more office like job working in the oil industry.

    Nothing super secret.

Fav country, well thats super hard, Aus was fun of course, and I really love Mexico, but hate what is happening there with the drugs war, a lot of innocent people are getting hurt and killed.
Sweden was also beautiful, such amazing scenery with the many many islands.

Ah each country has something special, and it would be quite normal to exit an airport and see all the tourists head to the right and off i would be going to the left... with all the good and all the bad which comes with that!

Loving the pug stuff, very funny!

That sounds amazing, much more exotic than being a smuggler (which I was pretty sure you weren't btw :))

I suppose things happening in those countries are a lot more real to you having been there.
    I don't even have a passport :(

............................yet. Who knows what the future will hold?

Having had the busiest work week ever (great, as opposed to stressful), I still have my lingering tummy problems, so was lying in bed awake when there was an odd buzzing sound in the distance, which woke up DD and DH too. DH had put new batteries into DD's toy hairdryer. Having not worked, even with the new batteries in, it suddenly sprang to life at 3 o'clock in the morning.

I have decided to have a cuppa before I attempt to go back to bed.

Hope all is well with the rest of you.

I was right! :T (Now, where's my trumpet? I need to blow it!)
Just thought! You are in oil, and jojoba, by the way, is an oil! :D

There's a picture of Sir Pugliet on Page 8. He really has become the thread mascot!

By the way, if there are any references you don't understand, do ask! We seem to be evolving our own little patois here, but we're more than willing to share!
Every ten+ posts we post a 'Thread Etiquette' thing, (which I'm just about to do now, coincidentally), to ensure people feel safe here. It explains the references to 'penguin'.

Am starting to feel better this morning. Throat's not sore, nose not streaming, but coughing a bit and feel a bit rough still. Will stay in bed again today. Shame I've missed all this lovely weather. Also today am having to miss a little AmDram workshop where we were going to demonstrate some stuff to a sort of audience for the first time....not a performance, more a demo, but it would have been good experience, but am really not well enough to go. Even getting up to make a cup of tea is an effort. Never mind. There's another one at the end of the month.

Haha Whitewing! Giant bumblebees in the night! Bet that was a bit of a shock! Loose connection, I suppose! Toy hairdrier, eh? Does it just make a noise, or does it blow out (cold) air as well? Don't think I've ever seen a toy hairdrier!

Right, now for that repost of the etiquette......

"Tenth page" re-posting of Thread Etiquette!

Here is the suggested THREAD ETIQUETTE. By following this etiquette, all posters, whether new or existing, will feel safe, unpressured and respected..

    - This is a thread for support. We have discovered some good friends on here, but we promise always to welcome and include new people, and not to be cliquey.

    - People may make suggestions to help each other, and might even ask if the suggestions were helpful or have been carried out, but we'll really try not to nag each other or put too much pressure on.

    - The normal board rules about sexism, racism, homophobia etc. apply, but if we are careful we should be able to discuss almost anything without breaching board rules - so far we have discussed subjects ranging from child abuse to incontinence!

-If someone thinks that too much pressure is being applied, they can post the trigger word PENGUIN and flag up the fact that they believe there's a potential for someone feeling too nagged to do something. ANYONE could post PENGUIN if they felt there was a danger that suggestions were being enforced too much.

    - If you think something might be a PENGUIN, please post something like the green bit which follows.

"I would like to discuss something to do with [insert subject here], but I am concerned that this might be a trigger for some people. Is everyone OK if I post about that?"

Then LEAVE IT for at least an hour to allow people to respond. Then, when you post, repost the word PENGUIN above the discussion. Then post the penguiny bit in white! And the phrase END OF PENGUIN when you have finished.

It will look like this. You will be able to see the white text if you highlight it or if you quote it (so please don't quote a penguin!)

    PENGUIN

This is a penguin. A nasty, crotch biting penguin (CBT).
It isn't really, you can look
    . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozGTv0hxhpc[/url]
    END OF PENGUIN

IMPORTANT: It has been ascertained that some posters to this thread have found that there are certain subjects which act as triggers, precipitating a worsening of their condition.
To protect these posters, you are respectfully requested NOT to discuss these subjects on this thread:-

Religion. (Please note: it is recognised that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and we respect those beliefs. It is only because of the fact that religion does act as a trigger for some posters, that we exclude it from discussion.)

The afterlife. The reason for this is explained in this thread by one poster, and there will be others for whom this is a trigger.

We ask and thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

    .........:starmod:.....................................................................:starmod:................

    - More suggestions please.............We stress that we are suggesting that we AGREE some Thread Etiquette to HELP people who might feel anxious about posting, we are not trying to IMPOSE rules, just relating this to facilitating groups, so that people feel safe and able to participate as fully as they can.

It should be pointed out that if anyone is feeling very distressed or close to a crisis, they do not have to worry about what they are posting, or whether it is a penguin for someone else or not. In a crisis situation, just post! We wouldn't want anyone to feel that they couldn't ask for help in case it's a penguin! The penguin thing only applies to a general discussion situation.

The winners have to go to London for a grand final, though. :(
