Yes, that is what the nurse told me too.

JM, hope you are better today.

Yes, much better thank you. Off to work in a moment, and I feel in a bit of panic as I have a big funding bid due in on Monday which I had planned to spend yesterday working on and is now going to be a tremendous rush, so forgive me if I'm not around much. (And if I am, it will be me procrastinating out of panic.)

I am too much of a chicken to try the gradual desensitization thing. Some of my allergy is likely to be psychosomatic as I really think of the things I am allergic to as poison (with the possible exception of soy sauce) as they are all chemical additives which I think shouldn't be there in the first place. Also, my nose linings swell up so I can't breathe and have to breathe through my mouth, so it does seem to be a real allergy :(

    Happy Tuesday everyone.
Today is the birthday of Zoroaster I believe , so a big celebration for zoroastrians . In celebration later I shall be bringing flowers into my home ( though putting thm in a vase, not strewing them) and though I won't be feasting I will make supper for myself, though I am alone here today :)

and its the usa day for women's equality, so I will make sure I get as good a place on the sofa this evening as the dogs.

    This is super!
And guess what? I have sat in a prison van! And also in the little high security cell that they all have! (Which was funny, 'cos it had its own little loo, like a prison cell has. )
Oh yes! And I've been shut in a prison cell too!
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
No, no, no! I'm not a hardened criminal! I once went on a guided tour of the cells below a Magistrates' Court, and had the offer of being incarcerated for, oh, all of about 10seconds!, just for fun!, and as the prison van was there and empty (!), they said we could have a go in that as well!
So the van already has its own little loo, and 'rooms', so would be ideal as a camper van!
Of course, you'd have to find a suitable personalised number plate, like, 'C3 LLS'
or 'G4 OLS'. They'd probably cost more than the van!

Anyway, Whitewing, don't for one minute think you're alone in 'nutty professor'ish absent-mindedness! Do you know what I did earlier this evening? I sent a PM to the completely wrong person! :rotfl: and I can't blame it on anything! :rotfl:

Me too Pyxis :D We went to an open day at the Magistrate Court. I actually did a placement in a prison & thoroughly enjoyed it too!

I got an email from MSE yesterday telling me I had a PM, but there is no PM. If someone did pm me yesterday lunchtime, please can you do it again.

*Sneaks back into the thread looking sheepish*

Other people feel like that, too? Really? Why didn't anyone tell me this? I have been hanging myself all day about what a terrible friend I am and how pathetic my reaction was. It's all based on my low self-esteem, I don't feel worthy of anyone's friendship and if people see me as a friend I consider myself very lucky and am always waiting for the luck to run out. It's as if eventually people will see the 'truth' about me and realise what a horrid person I am and I think it will happen faster if people have someone to compare me to who is similar in some way. In my teacher friends case it is compounded by the fact that he was her teacher, too and has a job she loves and is sort of following in his footsteps. Meanwhile, I am here messing up how to make a cup of tea...

I do feel better that it isn't just me who feels it. I have been rescued by Team WaS again! Thank you all so much, I feel less weird and selfish now.

I'm guilty too MissWaS :o You Madame, are one of the most interesting people that I've ever met in my entire life!

Yes, I was thinking that myself this morning, thinking about lovely WaSP pretending to kill fairies. The fact that WaS obviously has such a healthy relationship with WaSP despite her serious MH and physical problems just indicates to me how the inner person shines through all her difficulties :)
