    Hello everyone, hope you're ok.

Today started off with me feeling kind of angry, a lot of that was directed at the ex, however since talking to him and basically getting it off my chest, i feel we have cleared the air. I also understand better why we split up, and i actually feel as though i am coming to accept what has happened. For the first time since it happened, i actually feel okay. Back to "normal", well whatever normal is.

Going back to work tomorrow, i think i'm probably going to end up with a warning over my sick leave, but they have been pretty understanding in the past so i know if i do get one its only because they feel they have to do that. At the end of the day i was in a bad place and needed time to adjust to my feelings and get them under control. They know of my MH issues and they know stress of any kind is a trigger,

I feel like i want to try and enjoy living again now, as opposed to just existing which is how the past few weeks have felt. :)

That's positive, MU, glad to hear things are looking up for you. Re the sickness thing, sometimes the policies don't give managers a lot of wriggle room for the genuine cases, unfortunately.
Any ideas for things you want to do now life is looking a bit brighter again?

Well, first things first is find out what shifts i'm on this week, then i can make plans. If i have time spare gonna try and meet up with friends, gonna get back into my looming and try a new project, quite fancy going swimming at some point as i've found it relaxing (and could do with trying to shift some of this weight!) and then i know in the next month or so the rock soc will be starting up again, so will try and be more involved with that. Ive got my birthday and halloween booked off so will make plans for those.

And maybe at some point down the line will venture back into online dating  but not yet, need some alone time still. :)

  • So glad to hear that things are better for you, MU. I do think that you have been very brave with the way that you have dealt with this, you have done a much better job than I managed with break ups in the past!

Fun activities inbetween work sound like a great idea and I am still jealous of your looming! Can you make the little figures that people do? I find it fascinating!

Online dating? You're a lot braver than me! I've thought about it, then run screaming in the opposite direction.

Swimming is on my list of things to get back into, if I can manage to stop putting everything off. If I don't start soon it'll be too late till next year, as I need to be already into it to keep going in the winter. I'm a wuss about being cold.

Ah i've done online dating before. Found it easier as i never really meet anyone anywhere else, i'm too old to do it the old fashioned way and meet someone in a bar or club, i find it easier to start a conversation behind the safety of my computer screen :p

The pool i go to is realativly warm so its not too bad :p I bought a discount card months and have barely used it so must make use of it!

  • Aw, don't worry about the bracelet until you feel better, send me a pm and we will work something out when you feel up to it. I am really excited for it though!

I love the phone cases! Someone had a matching phone case, Ipad case and keyring which I loved. I also saw a photo of an entire dress made out of looming which would have looked so good on a beach. I would imagine that it would take months though. I used to spend ages as a child doing something my dad taught me which he called one finger knitting which ended up with a long strip of wool not unlike loom bands which is why I am so interested in it. I would do this for hours and then curl the wool around and make circular purses with it.

MU, I am glad that things are looking a bit brighter.

I did try online dating at one point. I was impressed at how well matched up in terms of background etc we were. I only went on a couple of dates but he was a nice chap. (I think it was the wrong time of my life for me).

    Today's pregnancy test was negative.

House is a mess because my headache meant I didn't tidy up yesterday. I need to get cracking on it before we leave for work.

JM, hope you are better today.

White wing, someone i used to know quite well had a coil which actually helped her mental health because it helped her with hormone impact which she found put her off kilter. She found herself much more 'even' with it, and so did people who knew her.
