And one more for everyone who loves the seaside.
It's meant to be a castle, but it could also be a celebratory sand cake for posters, lurkers and delurkers alike. :)
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • It's wonderful, elsien! I always make sandcastles at the beach even as adult. Then I pick up every possible shell that I can find and bring loads home with along with some sand. I am 5 years old really.

Feeling very sad that my lovely neighbour I helped to look after for 2 years died this morning.
I feel so guilty that I haven't seen him recently, going to the home has been very difficult the last few times due to anxiety and panic attacks so I've not been going as often :(
His wife has Alzheimer's and they don't know wether to tell her or not.
What you must remember, Dibuzz, is that when you were well, you helped your friend and you visited him. When you were unwell, you couldn't visit him. If you had migraines or flu or stomach pains that stopped you going, you probably wouldn't be feeling guilty, just very sad. The fact that you had anxiety and panic attacks bad enough to prevent you going, meant that you were too unwell to go in exactly the same way.
I bet he understood perfectly, and appreciated the help you gave him when you were well enough to. :A

dibuzz, was this the neighbour that said you have a great sense of humour? I'm very sorry for your loss.

I enjoyed your police/feeding ducks story, WaS.

    Yes it was
He had COPD and heart problems and his wife has alzheimers, they were carers for each other but as the alzheimers got worse it just wasn't working so they had to go into the home but he never really accepted it.

  • I have a huge amount of stones and pebbles, everytime I go to the beach I come back with half of it! I will check with Emma to make sure that she doesn't mind me printing it and then I would love to frame it and put it on one of my new tables. It is perfect, just what I imagined.

    *de-lurks, again*
I am so glad you like it WaS! Please do print it out, I would love it that something I have drawn was on display and bringing a smile. In fact (soppy moment here) it's actually bought a tear to my eye, in a good way. :o

What a beautiful painting! Is it a watercolour? We have an artist on the thread, folks! I wonder what other talent is lurking out there? We have musicians, artists, what else? We're a positive hive of creative talent!
Thank you, I'm blushing here. I'm a hobby artist/photographer, and have shown in a few exhibitions, yet I still find it hard to accept compliments. The drawing is actually using an illustrator program on my computer. tbh, I'm not 100% happy with it, but I am my own worst critic.
