    I've been Money Tipped!
Thrifty Emma, those fluffy rabbits are super!

I've spent today mainly curled up with dogs again, but also doing some laundry.

From where I am I can see the bough of a plum tree which arches over a gate and the rain has cleaned its bark so that the natural ruddy ness is now a glowing, red hoop.

Sadly, one day we will have to cut that tree down, but until then I enjoy
    it a lot.

Feeling very sad that my lovely neighbour I helped to look after for 2 years died this morning.
I feel so guilty that I haven't seen him recently, going to the home has been very difficult the last few times due to anxiety and panic attacks so I've not been going as often :(
His wife has Alzheimer's and they don't know wether to tell her or not.

WAS I thought of you when I went to the sea side and because it was so warm, swam in the sea for the first time in years. It felt so wonderful floating over the waves like being free!!!!

  • Oh, dibuzz. Big hugs. There is no need for guilt, he knew that you cared about him and you wouldn't have helped either of you if you had made yourself ill.

Is there any family that you could discuss whether to tell his wife or not with? I would be inclined to tell her but she may not remember that you have done so depending how advanced her illness is so that needs to be taken into consideration. How fragile is her health?

You looked after them for years, you did everything you could for them.

  • Awww, thank you dubs! I so love the sea! It is so peaceful and freeing. I love when people think of me at the beach, it means a little bit of me was there.

PS I am having some water, Solar!

What a beautiful painting! Is it a watercolour? We have an artist on the thread, folks! I wonder what other talent is lurking out there? We have musicians, artists, what else? We're a positive hive of creative talent!

WaS - you could enlarge it and print it off and put it on your wall! Have you got any beachy things in the Cupboard of Doom? Any driftwood plaques, beach-hutty things, shells, etc? If so, you could use these things to 'frame' the picture on the wall. Then you could use it to focus on when you're feeling bad, especially if, at the same time, you play the sea-sounds track.
    Whadderya say WaS? Whadderya say?:)

WaS, you've just got to write a story about bunnies at the beach!

Their son and daughter need to decide what to do, obviously I will just go with what they say but whatever they decide it won't be easy.
She doesn't always know who he is and often thinks he is her dad.

  • I have a huge amount of stones and pebbles, everytime I go to the beach I come back with half of it! I will check with Emma to make sure that she doesn't mind me printing it and then I would love to frame it and put it on one of my new tables. It is perfect, just what I imagined.

  • Awww, dibuzz that is difficult. I am not sure what would be for the best in that case. As you say it is going to be difficult whichever decision is made. There is no right or wrong answer as long as it is made with love.

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes (genuinely) because

    - WaS has done something she hasn't done for four years
    - Dibuzz is back
    - There's a lovely picture from a new person.

I'm loving my holiday but also can't wait to have the time to come back to the thread properly! Love to all xxxxxx
