Ok, soppy moment everyone. I have been thinking for a while about changing the first post. This thread is no longer just about me (bit of a relief, I am not a centre of attention type person) but is about everyone who posts and lurks. We have become quite a team (that includes you lurkers!) and I think we all deserve acknowledgement for that. So I have edited my first post to make it OUR thread, to make it hopefully more welcoming to new people and to thank you all for all the times you have been there for me.

Admirable thought WaS, that gives the thread more context and invites others that may benefit to lurk, learn, share or whatever they feel comfortable doing. Well done for reaching out

And don't forget this thread would not exist without you, a very special person.

I hope no one minds, tell me if you do but it stopped being solely about me a while ago and I like that. Everyone here deserves recognition, not just me and I want it to be our thread, not just my thread.

Yay! do tell me if anyone minds but you all mean the world to me and you are all just as important as someone who's name happens to be on the first post. I also didn't want people to be put off of posting by thinking they were intruding on a thread about me, I want anyone who wants to join in to be able to do so comfortably.

Yay! Glad you like it, haybel! I have also checked with MSE Andrea that it is ok to change the thread into a bit more of an obvious support thread than a me, me, me thread.

Is someone about to volunteer to make me and Sir Pugliet patchwork blankets out of fluffy towels? *looks hopeful*

Towels, schmowels, I don't mind as long as they match!
It's this picture in my head of big blanket shape with tiny little matching blanket shape, side by side in the car, that I can't shake off!

It has really tickled me!

What a wonderful rainy weekend that was. DH and I cuddled a lot and did rather little. The weekend flew by and I think the week ahead will feel long!

The rain reminded me I really, really need to find a roofer soon though.
