I've always been one to go to bed and get up early rather than staying up and sleeping in.
2 of my sons were very poor sleepers, it would have been ideal to have this problem back then. I've not been a good sleeper for the last few years but it's only the last 2 or 3 years that it has got so bad and just gets worse all the time.
I've tried lavender oil, sleep sprays, warm baths, youtube videos, relaxing music, everything except a sledgehammer.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -

Have you seen your GP about it? Maybe you could start a sleep diary and then take it to show them.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Sleep diary sounds like much safer option than a sledge hammer! May help you recognise a pattern dibuzz.0

We've discussed it a few times, he doesn't think the recent change of meds would make a lot of difference but wants to leave things as they are for now and maybe try a sleeping pill once or twice a week in the near future just to try and get into a sleep pattern.
The sleep diary sounds like a good idea.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
You could try watching endless repeats of Top Gear on Dave - works for my DH, lol.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

It seems both unfair and unsafe to leave you trying to function normally on so little sleep.
Are you keeping a sleep diary? It might be worth it to impress the limited amount you are getting.0 -
