Ww you will be able to give more blood in the future, nearly 30 pints is a brilliant achievement. I am a big believer in paying forward and hope by giving blood that if I ever need it, it will be there for me.
Lir bet they all enjoyed the beach even if this time they didn't all make it into the sea. Time for r & r now to recover, hope you enjoyed the day?
I used to have a rescue golden retriever at the time I lived in mid Wales and she used to love the sea and chasing rabbits on the sand dunes. Very happy memories, miss the seaside I live couple of hours away now.0 -
Welcome back LIR! Go and put your feet up for a while. I sounds like it was a good day though hopefully!
Wait, rabbits go on sand dunes? I never knew that! Or is this a metaphor that I am missing? I am picturing rabbits paddling in the sea now.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

My first love and I used to borrow a dog to take out for day trips. He got so excited about the sea as soon as he could smell it. He used to quiver.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. I used to give blood till they upped the weight limits and I was no longer eligible which I was a bit miffed about as I'd never had any problems from it. I did ask if they wanted 1/2 pint but they said it wasn't worth their while. Does anyone remember that Tony Hancock sketch "the blood donor?"All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Every single medication I take does. I get drowsy on two paracetamol and I wish I was joking. It has been a long time since I had the sleep study, over 15 years so I could probably do with a new attempt. Last time we established that I am a slow sleeper so I need to go to bed two hours before I wish to sleep. This is why I get frustrated and stay up for 24 hours, I spend over half my day in bed. Possibly a light to wake me up might help, too. I have written it down to discuss with my psychiatrist on the next appointment.
Discussing sleeping with my psychiatrist, hmmm. Now I am thinking of the one who so attractive that I couldn't look at him...
I'm the opposite, I take 5 different things at night that claim to cause drowsiness and still can't sleep! The last few days I've had about an hour all night then gone back to bed after my sons have gone to work and managed to sleep for 3 hours so I'm going to try that for a while.
I had a gorgeous PWP, definitely wouldn't say no to him14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -

Neither of my dogs liked the sea. With my second dog, I thought that if I showed her what it's like, she might take to it, so on some very hot days I tried carrying her into the sea, until I was chest deep, and then swimming back to shore with her doing doggy paddle.
I did this a few times over a few days, but she was still very nervous, and it was obvious she hated it, so I stopped.
She didn't mind jumping in puddles or streams though! One day she decided to do her usual trick of jumping into the stream only a few yards away from the car at the end of the walk, but what we didn't realise was that the rains had swelled the stream, which was usually hidden below steep banks. Off she went, ignoring my 'no!', as I really didn't want a sopping wet dog in the car! Over the edge she went, and then there was an almighty splash, and she disappeared under the water! The stream, usually about 6 or 7 ins deep, had swollen to about 20ins deep. She was fine, but very surprised and a bit shocked to find she was under water!
Once I knew she was ok, I was not sympathetic! Especially as she was even wetter than usual in the car on the way home!
And a bit subdued.
Till the next time!(I just lurve spiders!)

What's a PWP, dibuzz?
Psychological wellbeing practitioner.
I had 8 sessions with him which is the maximum and it did help a lot at the time but after the last session I went home and just sat and cried almost non stop for 2 weeks.
He only dealt with depression though, I'm on the list to see someone else who treats social anxiety disorder which will be for longer.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
