Just heard that v annoying colleague is going to be off for 12 weeks at some point. Have everything crossed it's soon! Surely 12 weeks would give me long enough to find another job?? Then I wouldn't have to put up with her fish and sprout cooking, and constant farting, ever again!

lol i'd love certain colleagues to take 12 weeks off. i get on with most of the people i work with but a few are as useless as a chocolate teapot and drive me insane when i have to work with them!

to give an example, one was complaining to me that the queue was huge, as she wandered off to do some random job someone else was already doing, leaving me to deal with said massive queue on my own! :mad:

she's been there so long she's part of the furniture but by god she test my patience at times!

Same! This woman's been here for years and has got very used to doing naff all and getting away with it. We work in a small building on a large site, and she treats the place as if it's her personal home instead of a workplace that other people use. She has an entire fridge to herself (always full of sprouts and fish!), and cooks three meals here a day. She'll often have a full-on sleep in the afternoon.

Whenever anyone has dared to mention to her that her food stinks, that she does no work and that she really can't fart all day long in front of other people she complains that she's being traumatised and bullied :mad:.

Cannot wait to get out of here!

The one in question has been there 20 odd years, they tried offloading her to a smaller less busy shop, but they sent her back I feel sorry for my manager when she has to do the rota

I have had an eventful day. Going to penguin on TMI grounds and some people may not want to read it as its a bit of a yucky subject.

Because I take a lot of opiate-based medication I am prone to constipation, I do take laxatives but they only work with varying success. It had been 5 days without a poo a few days ago and there was a lot of blood when I managed it. Over the last few days I have had a lot of pain 'there' along with a fair amount of blood loss and itching and last night it kept me awake, so I braved it and asked my carer to check. She didn't like what she saw so called my doctor to come out and visit.

It turns out I have an anal tear that has become infected. I have some antibiotic cream containing steroids that also numbs, a stool softener and my laxative has been changed. It may take a while to heal because of where it is located and err needing to poo so opening it again. My doctor suggested buying a bag of frozen peas and sitting on it! I need to keep it as cold as possible hence the frozen peas, he also suggested soaking tissue in cold water and keeping it there.

The most annoying thing is it directly as a result of side effects from the medication. Oh, and I have to sit on my side because it really hurts. That's annoying, too.

Penguin end! For those who couldn't face it- I have an embarrassing medical problem that I hope will be better soon.

I have the opposite problem today. DH keeps singing Ring of Fire at me.

I've just had me second cup of tea of the week. I'm toying with trying to eat something. But then I'm also feeling grumpy, so it might just be a diverted want to bite people's heads off.
