Any problems with Scottish Power?

Scottish Power been good for me, was with staywarm paying £82 a month duel fuel. Now paying £53 a month :jam on Online Energy Saver 4.0

I switched today via Quidco, I don't know what the monthly dual fuel will end up being but the quote reckoned £104 cheaper than BG. I'm so sick of BG that I jumped at the chance. Now I have to wait to hear from Scottish Power with my changeover dates etc.IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0

I appear to be lone voice.....
SP has really struggled to activate my on-line account, which forms part of the on-line tarrif that I signed up for in late 2006 (Energy Saver 2 and then more recently the new Energy Saver 4).
I'm sure that once they sort it out I will be as pleased as everyone else...at least that's what I'm hoping!

I hads a problem with my on line account with SP. For some reason would not accept my readings..Rang them up and an extremely pleasant lady took my details and tried to enter the readings but without success..She said it would be referered to their IT people and then she would have another attempt..I thought oh no here we go this isn't going to happen..
I received an E mail from her 10 minutes later to say problem solved..She had entered my readings and wanted to apologise on behalf of SC for my inconvenience!!
WELL DONE SCOTTISH POWER!The Early bird may catch the worm ...but its the second mouse that gets all the cheese!0 -
Looks like I made the right decision. I will be on the online energy saver 4 package. :money:0

We have changed to Online Energy Saver 4 too in the last few weeks - I have given our meter readings and just await the start date now. SP are meant to save us around £121 compared with NPower (we live in E Midlands area)

I moved in to my house about 3 years ago. I was quoted £30 Gas & £30 Elec by scottish power. I set up a Direct debit and all was fine. 2 years later I received a letter from Scottish power saying we are very sorry but we haven't billed you for your gas for the past 2 years and sent me a bill for £1068.53!!! I called to sort it out but the customer service team didn't know how to deal with it, so they sent it to a collection agency. I have been fighting them for 6 months now and they wont budge.
Don't switch to them they'll rip you off!!!0 -
Welcome to the forum.
From your post it is not clear why you say they are 'ripping you off.'
Or why the the customer service team "didn't know how to deal with it"
On what grounds are you "fighting them"?
Are you saying that you were getting gas bills?
In regard to ripping you off, surely the issue is did you use the gas you are being billed for, and if so, did you pay for all of it?
Did your payments stay at £30 for 3 years?0 -

Have you checked your bank statement to see if any payments went out? Have you ever checked to make sure payments were taken?
I owe NPower £500 because I wasn't paying enough each month for about a year. I can't even try to blame them because I didn't check the bills like I should have. If I did, I would have been able to do something sooner.0
