Shame, as ISTL is usually a pretty decent poster, who at least tries to find facts and independent, unbiased data to back his assertions.
Rather than just posting YESNP propaganda.
Ditto.
If there was some professor somewhere that had just concluded some research, or some other academic somewhere at least peddling some kind of analysis, it would be something that could be discussed. As it is, it is merely an assertion that everything will be wonderful in the Scottish Republic.I was shocked to hear this morning that Aberdeen was 28% of scottish GDP but only 4% of population suggesting that GDP per head of the other 96% of Scots is only about 75% of the uk average. Better hope that oil doesn't run out....
Now you know why some people are happy about the trend in house prices in Aberdeen.0 -

Simply put, Balance.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

            Balance.....
“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

LOL, I'm surprised it took you so long to make your Geneer style postings.
Maybe I'm being a rebel today, but I hate being told I can't do something.
I'm far more positive than that:wall:

The OP article is much better positive aspiration than the other reason you sometimes hear - to get away from Westminster.
Of course it will be tough and some goals difficult to realize, but what's wrong with having tough goals?0 -
Scotland will be fine if it goes independent, just look at Ireland, no problems there.....oh wait, well at least we've never had to bail them out financially.......oh wait.....Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0

We can strengthen wages by raising the minimum wage with independence
There's no shortgage of unskilled labour within Europe. Raising the MW could be counter productive.0 -

Ireland is one example.
What about Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, all of whom are successful North European countries of similar population to Scotland but with better economic statistics than the UK
Austria has also been cited, although not North European, has a similar population but with better economic statistics than the UK.
Let's focus on the negative though why don't we?
Is it mandate for bettertogether to continue with the negative campaign politics?
Why can't they for once highlight the positive aspects:wall:

Please articulate your point more specifically with an example:wall:

if Scotland breaking away from the UK is such a one way street to riches, then presumably Scotland breaking up into say 4 or 5 separate states would be even more beneficial.0
