Your wife (the keeper) should reply to MET (NOT TO THE DEBT COLLECTOR! Ignore them!) and give your name and postal address as the driver on these occasions so tell MET to take the matter up with the driver. Head the letter up with all the PCN numbers.

Then you wait for MET to send you 3 x PCNs. DO NOT write to them yourself yet!

IGNORE the silly letters from debt collectors.

If you pay this you are a mug - so don't!

  • Thanks coupon for the bluntness also lol

It was popla that gave me the 3 reference numbers but that's nothing to worry about.

I'll mail them and state it was me that was driving and just see what other rubbish they send me. Give the miss's a break.

    Thanks bud.

How so? Show us what POPLA said, this makes no sense. POPLA don't give out POPLA codes nor do they send you old POPLA codes...?

  • I sent letter without contact details. So they replied with letter and ref number. I sent reply and they stated the ref number was wrong. They sent another letter back with different number. Been messed about really. Have mailed popla regarding this.

Got another debt recovery plus letter. They have proposed county court proceedings. Money is going up each time.

But everytime they are offering discounted amounts!!

You sent a POPLA appeal without putting any contact details or POPLA code on it? Why? Please explain in longer sentences.

I hope you know that debt collectors have no powers to get any money from you. All they can do is to ask you for money. They cannot force entry or take any goods ..... They cannot even take you to court.

Hi guys. Update for you. Was receiving threatening letters to pay £225 with possible court action blah blah blah.

Now receive another letter today from another company called zenith. Apparently the existing debt from previous debt agency has now been passed to zenith. They are willing to except £79.99 as a one time offer lasting 2 weeks. They don't give up do they?!?

Ah brilliant thanks for that snap. They seem to try and pressure you into it with legal words and threats.

Zenith/DRP one and the same, just that your file has been passed from one desk to the other.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • No I hadn't seen that but thanks. Looking at that it seems I'm nearing the end of their pointless letters lol may send them a letter back stating if they didn't send pointless stuff they could of saved most the fine lol

DO NOT CONTACT THEM AT ALL!

If you do then you'll just prolong the letter chain.
