Hi - you can get it if you have a friend/family member who already banks with FD or alternatively just ask someone on the FD referrers board in the MSE forum to refer you.0 -
"has anyone received the incentive payment after completing the switch and having a £1000 a month FPI ( transfer from another acc) and not a BACS payment such as salary?
thanks"
same Q from me. Have just opened a/c on line with an old Halifax a/c (£1). Assume they go through the normal switch service with you. Putting in £1000 once from another a/c will ?? qualify for the £100 bonus (when is this paid - can't find that info).
Did have a FD a/c 15/20 ? yrs ago. Wonder if they will find that ? If so/heyho...
Hi Castle
Did you ever get a definitive answer to this question? I don't want to transfer my main current account, but I've got a few older accounts I could transfer to FD. No direct debits or anything, but legitimate old accounts. And I wouldn't want my salary to go there, but could pay in £1000 per month from another account...
Thanks in advance.0 -
Also, the link from here that's supposed to lead to £125 when an account is transferred to FD doesn't seem to work any more. When I click "Apply for sole account" it goes to the default FD homepage, not any sort of application. Anyone else having this problem?0

Not sure what link you used, but the latest MSE £125 one should work until 31/07/14.

EDIT: Hmh, that link worked a second ago but now does the same as yours. Perhaps you need to clean your cookies and cache?0 -
Yes, that could be it. I'll try later from another computer.
Thanks!0 -
However, if it needs to be transferred by the 31st, that's less than 7 days away now so you would just get the £100.
Unless they would allow it for new accounts that begun the transfer before the 31st?0 -
I used the MSE link on Sunday 20th, got right to the end of the process then got an error message with a number to ring and error code to quote.
I did so and was given the option to complete the application on the phone. I realise I won't get the £125 switching bonus, but couldn't be bothered going through the whole thing again, so I'll settle for £100
I was asked to provide proof of ID so sent HMRC notification. On Wednesday 23rd I had email to say my Everyday Esaver was open (no account info) and today my debit card for the current account arrived, thought I've not had any welcome pack or confirmation that my application was accepted :cool:0 -
Where does it say that the switch must be complete by July 31 2014 to get the £125?0
