    Hi All

Room for another (prospective) littlie? :D

6 weeks ago, I joined my gym and have been having 1 x weekly PT sessions since. I can also notice muscles! This is pretty damn awesome for someone who has never had that before :rotfl:

I want to start swimming (I haven't been to a pool in years and... actually I can't swim! I cannot see worth a shot and am far too scared to swim in contacts. Then I was too embarrassed to start lessons :o). I've just been looking for a nice new swimsuit and my local council pool does lessons on a Monday night. I'm not sure I fancy being in there with a dozen 5 year olds though :o:o

I have a run scheduled for tomorrow - I say run, it will literally be 5 mins fast walking, 30 strained seconds of 'run-walking' and then back to walking, knowing me

I've never liked my body but I am doing this for me. I WILL look s&%t hot - and be able to move for a decent amount of time!

you should try the council one, they are run for both adults and kids and have good safety records.

Just get yourself into a pool in the shallow end and just try to relax and float. this way you can attempt to overcome your fear of the water.

Goggles will protect your contacts just make sure they fit your face correctly.

I can make sure I don't drown (helpfully :p), I can swim below the surface and I can tread water. I've just never managed the staying on the surface :D

    Lessons it is!

well I am back reporting that I have been a very naughty girl and been nibbling at the walkers cheddar and onion crinkle crisps and florintine biscuits, well when I say nibbling I feel the local supermarket has given me the customer of the year award.

So back to the scales and gym tomorrow

Week 1 of my couch to 5k will be completed tomorrow. Did todays accompanied by my 8 year old. The little pest would stop halfway and then zoom past me shouting hurry up slow coach... :o

Swim has been delayed somewhat by my new swimming costume apparently thinking that cups should be sat on the belly button?! Will have to get to the shps to get a decent one.

Been doing lots of squats, lunges and planks at home. I despise planks :rotfl:

    Good morning everyone :)

Happy to say that I am still as keen as ever about the gym and have been going 4x a week still. Have definitely started to notice a bit more muscle tone and my tummy is a tad flatter (only a tad though). However, I am still the same weight as I was- 10t 10lbs!

So, I kept a food diary for a week and OMG!!!!!!!!!! I didn't realise quite how much unhealthy food I was eating! So, will be keeping a more careful eye on that from now on!

I had my review at the gym this week. I have now changed a few things.

    Previous workout:
    *15mins on bike (L1)
    *2000m rowing machine (L5) approx. 10mins
    *20-25mins treadmill, speed 5.9, incline 5.5.
    Weights-
*Fly, row, pulldown, chest press, tricep press all 2x12 15KG-20KG
*Thigh abductor and thigh adductor - 2x12 30KG

    New workout:
*15mins elliptical machine, L1 (this will increase as I get used to it)
*1500m rowing machine L6 (to increase to 2000m)
*25-30mins Treadmill speed 5.9, incline 5.5 (same as before)
    Weights-
*Fly, pulldown, chest press, all 2x12 @ 20KG
*Triceps rope x12 8.75 (this is HARD!!)
*Row machine 6 pins in, x12

At my next review (end of Sept) I will move on to the free weights section. Its a bit daunting, as there are lots of beefy men there...scary!

Well done on the C25K Freyasmum! Re the swimming costume- I bought a nice one from Tesco, very flattering and the first costume that I have ever felt OK in!

    Hello!

I did a bodypump and a bodyattack last week. Aiming for three classes instead of two this week. Also planning to keep a better eye on eating as I am fairly certain that is my downfall! OH and I are both taking a little look at our diets, so I did a big shop yesterday and planning on lots of chicken, fish and lean mince meals for dinner and most importantly for me...trying to avoid unhealthy snacking!! We will see how we go!! Bodyattack tonight!
    Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):
    My savings: £4878.54/£7000
    Joint account savings: £2685.57/£3000
    Total:£7564.11/£10 000 (as at 26/10/14)

    Thanks HBS :)
Most of the time I go, its early in the morning so not very busy. That'll make the free weights section easier if its quiet.

Well done on 110KG, that's great! How is the food side of things going?
