I have googled all of those workouts and love the idea of doing them! Think i'll do them on my rest days (twice a week).

However, I have problems with my right wrist (sprained it a while ago and its still giving me problems). Looking at the Mountain Climbers, I would have to modify if so that I am not putting all of my weight on my wrists.
Any idea how I could modify this slightly but still get the benefits?
  • I did standing mountain climbers when I dislocated my shoulder. Stand upright and raise your right arm up above your head while lifting your left knee, then do the same with the left arm/right leg. You can build up speed until it looks like you're climbing an imaginary ladder very fast! You can also add weights if your wrist doesn't complain :) It's just combining high knees with an overhead punch so doesn't require too much coordination!

In relation to hitt...my gym launched this quarter's les mills releases last week. Only one I had time for was bodyattack due to work commitments, attending a wedding, packing for hols etc there was a bit of a different feel to it and the instructor mentioned that it was focusing more on hitt than before. It is a really great class, strongly recommend it if you get a chance. It doesn't use weights however it does use body weight exercises in certain tracks.
    Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):
    My savings: £4878.54/£7000
    Joint account savings: £2685.57/£3000
    Total:£7564.11/£10 000 (as at 26/10/14)

Id rather do proper HIIT classes than body attack. The format has changed so much over the years and not for the better, I used to do a lot of body attack. Its trying to be something its not, there have been a couple of releases where instructors have refused to do certain exercises due to the potential for injury.

If I want to do burpees I'll go to a HIIT class. Not sure why les mills have done this, because they have grit which is HIIT and its much much better than the rest of the formats such as attack, pump, combat

Just my view but as someone who used to do body attack 6 times a week now I do none, the way the format has changed is the reason for that.

    Morning everyone :)

I am pleased to have beaten my PB for rowing 2000m, by 25 seconds. I used to do it in 10 mins 15 secs, but yesterday I did it in 9 mins and 50 seconds :)

I am finding it all a bit easier now, which means I need to change things up a bit. I was going to have my 6 week review this week coming, but the instructor is off ill, so it'll be the following week instead.

I am trying Body Combat next week. Should be fun!

Would love to try grit but it is very expensive in my gym so I'm stuck with regular les mills stuff at the moment. They do run one hitt based circuits class once a week which I am going to start trying to get to now I'm over my car accident and back from hols.

Well a little about me, 35 year old male that is 6"1 and back in february i weighed in at 19stone 7lbs!!!

Determined to lose alot of weight somewhere between 70 and 90lbs i joined the gym and cut the crap out that i ate (pretty much everything).

Well as of today i am currently weighing in at 16stone 3lbs and i am getting there, but still another 2-4stone to get off me.
