No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries June 2014

Sundaysgirl - I would never have thought that I could colour my hair with bright highlights when I was working, but now I am retired (I was lucky, just scraped in before government raised the age first time), but now I can please myself, I decided to let my hair grow grey and I love it, but it does give me the scope to have fun without the commitment of having to have roots done (and the expense).
ValM - I love the cleansing balm, for some reason I didn't expect to, I have not looked to see how much it is:eek:, I will (she says hopefully) not be going for the TSV as I have masses of PCMC and more than enough bath and products to last me into next year.:oThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. FizzWhizz - I'm sorry to hear your OH is letting his daughter ride roughshod over him, personally I'd be tempted to get hold of the costume and take it back to the shop but I doubt that would do much except cause much friction. I suppose you could always buy her some lingerie tape and say "well at least you won't have tan lines"
rogueylawyer - I'm so sad for you, especially you thinking you could do anything, addiction is a selfish disease/illness and swallows the sufferer whole, along with their friends and family, unfortunately it is only your mum who can really do anything, if she's not willing to then I'm sad to say there's little you can do.
It's shocking that you didn't know for a whole week and I feel the tears in every word you wrote. If you need anyone to talk to, I do check the forums and my messages at least once a day in case you want a virtual shoulder to cry on or a more personal/specific rant xxxxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I noticed! But then again, maybe I wouldn't if you hadn't emboldened the purchase! Think you're getting too comfy on that naughty step FizzWhizz. x
Me and my big mouth/bold fontIn my weak defence, I'm almost finished my current Rituals scrub and have no others stashed. Think my bum is getting numb though so it's back on the purchasing wagon for me

Unfortunately it's just another episode of her awful behaviour. I will spare the minging details but suffice it to say, she "tried on" the swimsuit again when my DD got here on Friday and it ended up with a stain on it which means it most definitely cannot be returned. How very convenient
Yesterday, she asked DH for help with her homework and when he (gently) pointed out that she'd made mistakes in the four questions she'd already done, she told DH that he was a knob and she was going to get a machete and hack him to bits. He tried to laugh it off and said he didn't think anyone would sell a machete to a child and she just looked him straight in the eye and said, "I'll find a way, you'll get what's coming to you"
Honestly, I wouldn't have believed it had I not witnessed it myself. Oh, it's all fun and japes chez Whizz! :rotfl:0 -
I just discovered they have stopped making my favourite hairspray

I like the frangipani, but have lotions aplenty, and my cleansing balm barely has an impression in it. Hopefully something like this again nearer Christmas, there usually is.
The Christmas one is the one that MrM usually stockpiles for me and always has PCMC in it. Usually has bath products as well. Would be nice if it had Gentle Rose Exfoliator in it too as I'm getting low on that.ValM - I love the cleansing balm, for some reason I didn't expect to, I have not looked to see how much it is:eek:, I will (she says hopefully) not be going for the TSV as I have masses of PCMC and more than enough bath and products to last me into next year.:o
There was no price on it last time I looked on shoppingtelly.com. I too have more than enough.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Back from work and picking up DS so now i'm sat having a cuppa:)
I managed to GA most of my make-up bits to some very appreciative girlies at work! lol they'll do someone else much more good than me, just being sat in my make-up bag.
So I have some GA:
Percy & Reed Volumising oil - didn't do anything for my hair and didn't like the smell. Was a magazine freebie so didn't lose anything.
Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow, blusher/bronzer palette
Estee Lauder lip gloss
ModelCo lip gloss
YSL eyeliner x 2
Bourjois black & white eyeliner pencil
Estee lauder black eyeliner pencil
Elizabeth Arden blue eyeliner pencil
Korres gold eyeliner pencil
Rimmel liquid eyeliner pen
Eyeko black eyeliner pen (mag freebie)
I know it seems perhaps abit mad to give away all that but it was stuff I had used in the past and just really didn't suit. I have NO IDEA why I collected so many eyeliner pencils when i never wear pencil eyeliner. Only use my YSL pot with a brush when I do wear eyeliner.
But it's made me feel all good and that i've made other people very happy!! haha
I also got my close friend at work to try the Bare Minerals foundation which I got a while back. It seemed to suit when I first got it but now despite different primers it just seems to sit on top of my skin and I really don't like that. I much prefer my Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser as it gives a nice coverage but doesn't look like you've got anything on at all. You can't sell this sort of thing on ebay so again someone else may as well get the use out of it if i'm not.
Hope all are well...FizzWhizz it sounds like you're having some interesting times at your house at the moment:eek: hope it eases up a wee bit soon x0 -
p.s. Does anyone have any recommendations for nice body lotion/butter that is their HG products?
My stash is dwindling rapidly and i'm going to be needing to buy something soon but I just don't know what!0 -

I really rate the Sanctuary body butters - absorb well, do a good job of moisturising but don't leave skin feeling tacky. I also recently tried (and loved) the Champneys Citrus Blush body lotion - much more moisturising than normal lotions, I found. Think you said you have the same set?
Both of these are pretty reasonably priced. I'm not a fan of TBS butters/lotions/body purees!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -

!!!!!!?!! She needs disciplining fast!!!
Well I've had a real sh1te of a day, lovely boyfriend might not be so lovely if events since last night are anything to go by, suffice to say there was somewhat of a 'scare' (not a real one, just a bit of one) and I'm being given the cold shoulder, or so it seems, there's no WAY he hasn't looked at his phone since last night, no way at all.
If he turns out to be just another spineless wotsit I'll be so upset:(:(
