Some UU's as the month draws to a close

75g L'Occitane Fleur Cherie soap. WDBA
15ml L'Occitane Divine Cream I have a smaller one, but back to PCMC next
Benefit Lemon Aid HG started new one.
7ml EL Advanced Night Repair (old formula) need a sample size of new one to try, I so loved the original.
120g Scicillian Bergamot Hand made she butter soap, replaced with a Lemongrass one. Love these, expensive but smell yummy and don't aggravate skin problems.

Some birthday IN's from earlier in the week:D
100 ml Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot handwash
    100 ml " " " " hand lotion
    40 ml Matching handcream.

    Have a great weekend everyone:D

Oh dear FizzWhizz, it is a very difficult situation for you. I am tough on my children too (10 and 8), not in a beating them around the head with a stick kind of way but I say no an awful lot more than I say yes. Life is tough and my job as a parent is to get my children ready for adulthood not give them everything they want. I see my children's friends and the way their parents are with them and they are so soft, the kids cry over the slightest thing and get every expensive thing they want. It's not real life so how can they be expected to cope when reality bits.

I have one friend with two children and if one needs new shoes or is going on a trip etc the other one gets the exact (to the penny) amount of money spent on them to make up for it because she says it's not fair. What on earth is she thinking of, my two understand that sometimes it's their turn sometimes it's not.

Hope you get it resolved but honestly I doubt you will and you will just have to bite your tongue some more.

Feeling a bit jealous of everyone's ins but not enough to buy anything, I will be ending June with two ins, one bought with vouchers and one hair mousse to trial.

UU no 16/ lush bright side bubble bar. I like this but it has a much harder consistency than my fave 'the comforter' still like this and WDBA

UU no 17/ body shop cranberry joy shower gel. This was ok but nothing special so probably WNBA. I much prefer boots extracts cranberry (which smells like fruit salad chews)

Thankyou dolly and apologies to all for the thread jack, I just needed to vent, I haven't really made any friends since we moved here and the rest of the time I am happy to moan to DH but obv on this occasion I couldn't.

Tongue has been bitten (almost in half :p) and I have apologised to DH for huffing last night but have also said I am getting very angry with the way DSD manipulates him, he has said he will make her return the swimsuit (honestly, I'm not a prude! But this was something which looked more appropriate for a "glamour" photo shoot than a family beach holiday) but I'll believe it when I see it.

I have collected my DD for the weekend and we are heading into town after lunch, my favourite mug broke this week :( so I'm on the lookout for a replacement. I'm even fussier about mugs than I am about foundation  :rotfl:

FizzWhizz sorry that you are having such a hard time just now, I don't have children and my 2 SC's never lived with us, but am the eldest of 5 and we were brought up as described by Dolly and Mrs MP , why would a parent not want to prepare their children for life, tough parts and all:(

Dolly - you are still doing so well with the IN's, I have some Leighton Denny nail polish and stuff on the way, but am resisting all the e-mails that come in and shopping my stash instead, my birthday IN's really hit the spot as I was being so tempted to buy citrus smelling shower gel and cream, fortunately won't be buying now:D

    Hi ladies :)

Happy birthday maddiemay - hope you had a great day.

Was just about to ask where you were wondercollie - good to hear from you and hope you're well.

Hope the casserole was tasty kadison and that you're enjoying your weekend with your man.

Poor you Fizz - sounds like a nightmare with your DSD. I don't have children but agree with what has been posted on here already. I think it is important to say no and not pander to their every whim! Otherwise they will grow up thinking that the world revolves around them, IMO anyway. Dolly how ridiculous that they buy both their children exactly the same things, and how expensive!!

Feeling jealous of the INS to but sounds like they are well deserved. I think I may be a changed woman as I have filled up baskets on various sites recently but have not pressed check out on any of them!! I would usually buy at least one thing as I have a £5 off voucher for feelunique. After I had filled the baskets up and I looked at the stuff and thought that I actually don't really want the stuff all that much  hoping this feeling lasts!!

    Few outs:

115 - Soap and Glory the righteous butter 50ml - WMBA, have got another in the stash. Does the job but the smell is a bit overpowering for me.

116 - Collection Little Mix Jade's Trio palette
117 - Nyx Love in Paris C'est La Vie 9 shadow palette

I am hoping to sell both of these at an upcoming car boot - I have been collecting stuff for ages and now have loads to sell. Both of these palettes are far too glittery and minimal colour pay off. I bought both of them because I was looking for a dupe of Mac Sumptuous Olive - could have bought the actual thing for the cost of both of these :rotfl:

I can't believe how glittery they are - I tried out the Collection one this morning and just looked at my face in the light and it is covered in glitter! Can't be bothered to take my face make up off now and start again. As I said, no colour pay off either so my eyelids (and face) are just covered in glitter chunks! Shame as the colours look nice in the pan.
  • Have you tried the nyx singles. I think the pigmentation is generally better

My naturals palette is lovely but not too pigmented

Welcome Jeppy! You are in good company, for sure.

Re the unwanted freebies charity shops may accept them. A couple of years ago many of us on the thread donated unwanted toiletries by post to women's refuges via an organisation called Give and Make Up.

These days it looks as if Give and Make up are encouraging people to contact their local women's refuges with donations, although there are details of collection agents in Manchester and Cardiff for parcels.

Here is a link with info on how to do this if you wish.

With the burglary and its aftermath taking centre stage for the last 12 days I've not really focused on toiletries other than mechanically working through my usual regime. Will have to dig out my Project Pan list of things to use up. I haven't bought anything, anyway. I now have replaced all that was lost with new products, more or less. July will be a new start to get back on the UU track.
