I have just been to Wetherspoons with my friend ordered and paid for meal, when it came there where about 12 chips on the plates
my friend sent them back to have more put on the plate another lady came back and told us that they are only alwowed to give you 17 chips each its a new rule they didn't tell us that when we paid for a meal

so if you go into wetherspoons make sure you get your 17 chips
we won't be going there again

    I am shocked

Does the menu fail to mention the length of the fish or how many peas you get.

You got more than a single chip so technically 2 chips would have been fish and chips.

I like the beer and the food is cheap. Good enough for me.

Does it say you get 35 peas, 8 bits of carrot or 5 sprouts? Of course not. Listing how many of everything you got would be mental.

I'd struggle to eat 17 chips, ends or not.

17 chips sounds like a lot to me. I've never counted my chips, but when I make some at home, I probably have about 8-10 chips. If we get fish and chips from the chippy, I'll have some of hubby's portion (about a handful, maybe a bit more).
