    You should sue them for sex discrimination:rotfl:

    Maybe they're old school, back before all packaging showed you its nutritional information on the basis of you requiring 2000 calories a day, I seem to remember it was 2000 for women and 2500 for men, 20 sat fat women, 30 for men etc.

    So since men on average may need 500 calories more than one, 25% more chips on 25 chips gets you 31.25 chips, round up, 32 chips, sounds like that employee is one sharp member of staff! :D

    As an aside I asked in my local Wetherspoons about if they had a standard portion. The enthusiastic staff member came out from the kitchen with a sheaf of A4 laminated sheets which have all of the dishes with pictures on them. In this JDW at least there is a portion size which is measured by weight of 220g (not by number of chips), which is apparently to try to ensure that the calorie figures provided are accurate.
