Chipping away, not a great month for OPs as only managed £29 but already OPd £64 this month so November will be better.
Stoozing is going well, with amount offset as well this is OPing over £200 each month.
Next big target will be getting into the £320s which is currently forecast to be September 2016 so I need an intermediary target to aim for to keep me motivated.1 -

Thanks everyone!
LIL, it's a 5-year project really. We need to do work on roof (replace all lead which is a huge amount, remove moss, remortar ridge tiles, replace gullies to side of dormer windows and replace all wood cladding. Oh yes and re-build chimney ).
Heating will need to be replaced in next few years - boiler is still going but very inefficient and rads are all silted up. OH would like underfloor heating.
Building works to repair huge crack in poured concrete wall.
Completely redecorate as it was last done in the 70s
Redesign upstairs so we can have guest bathroom and en-suite for us. Huge wasted space with massive airing cupboard which can't be used properly and huge bathroom with orange bathroom suite
But am keeping deep cast iron bath - is lovely and deep and holds heat so wellMight re-colour it however
Replace kitchen as cupboards are sagging and tiles are falling off walls.
Ah you get the idea, there really is lots to do and only so much time. We both work at jobs where there is a lot of professional development so we need to spend time studying - there is a lot we could do but don't have time.
Bought a new car today - will either end up being a massive bargain or a white elephant! Knocked them down massively on price because of some issues.
OH is at his mates to do the diagnosis tests to find out how bad it is. Should know tomorrow.
Good news is, thanks to new payday I haven't had to pull too much from savings to cover it.
£1.66 available in TCB and yougov is building up nicely1 -
Ohh nice sounds like a lot of work but will defiantly be worth it by the sounds of it :]
I think mine was done in the late 70s early 80s last also smaller project tho
Hope you enjoy the new car :]Mortgage--- [STRIKE]£67700 March 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65221 April 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64983 July 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64780 sept 15[/STRIKE] Remortgage [STRIKE]£67295 oct 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£66599 Nov 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65878.73 Dec 15[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £64834 1st Jan 16[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Feb 16 £64,511.89[/STRIKE][STRIKE] March 16 £64,056.40[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]April 16 £62550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]May 16 £62,396.20[/STRIKE] Feb 17 £60.800

It will be worth it - and the good thing is that I won't feel guilty about anything we do as it all needs to be replaced, rather than replacing because it isn't to my taste.
With all the rain, the house is getting very damp so need to see what we can do to improve that.
The guttering is relatively new (2012) but has "settled" so several joints leak. I really don't like the guttering (white square plastic) but can't justify replacing it when it's so new so we need to see if we can re-seat the joints so they don't leak as they are directly water to the path round the house which is adding to damp problem.
Getting £21 refund from Waitrose Pets - got a huge order from them which courier delivered to our neighbours instead of leaving it ours where we had instructed and which was massively over-weight (40-odd kg in 1 box, should be no more than 31kg). That can go as an OP.
We've got a 70s Park-ray burner in lounge which is horrible and tiny and is not flued. The chimney up through the bedrooms is cracked so we can't use it anyway. We're looking into getting a multi-fuel burner and flue to go through existing chimney.
Anyone got any recommendations? The space the Park-ray will leave is not huge so it needs to be quite a small burner and would prefer multi-fuel as living room is large so it needs to pump out as much heat as possible!1 -
Petal88, do you have a diary? We can motivate each other!1

I get what you mean 1 day i hope to have a cottage so hope to be in your position haha
I stayed in a lovely little cottage early this year feb it was really cold and the wood burner they had was Amazing at chucking out heat it was no bigger than 2 foot high either so it is possible
I just bought a 2kw electric fireplace for my dinning room that kicks out some serious instant heat haha but i guess its not in keeping with the overall theme you have in mind lol
Its all fun petal isnt it :]Mortgage--- [STRIKE]£67700 March 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65221 April 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64983 July 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64780 sept 15[/STRIKE] Remortgage [STRIKE]£67295 oct 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£66599 Nov 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65878.73 Dec 15[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £64834 1st Jan 16[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Feb 16 £64,511.89[/STRIKE][STRIKE] March 16 £64,056.40[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]April 16 £62550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]May 16 £62,396.20[/STRIKE] Feb 17 £60.800
