    How come Glad offered you champagne then? That's not fair if she has champagne she should offer to all of us..

    I've been here far longer than you and I've never been offered so much as a glass of water and here you go turning down bubbly.

    They'll probably get hounded now on Twitter by compers... :rotfl:

    Like others have said, I imagine it's legal, but I don't believe it's ethical.

    VanPopple - I suspect there are those who are too ill to work, who cannot leave the house, that take pleasure in entering competitions. It may be the only thing they feel capable of, and their only real interaction with the outside world.
    Just because people comp, it doesn't mean they are well enough to work. You ought to remember there will be some on these boards, who aren't able to work because they can't - not because they pretend to be ill, but because they are ill.
    You have the right to your opinions about not allowing serial compers, but I don't think that also gives you the right to essentially write off serial compers who are off work due to illness as lying or not having "enough" of an illness to be off work, on the sole 'evidence' of the fact that they enter competitions.
    How very narrow-minded.

    What a lovely post Jessica :T

    Hmm yes sorry, what i said isnt meant as a general statement about everyone who comps, just the ones who 'pretend' or lie about illness to try and win comps.
    Oh and the ones who ''magically' have wife & kids in one post then are ''all alone'' in another post, to try and get sympathy etc..(although thats mainly fb)

    I stopped really giving a s*t about peoples ethics for comping when i got a real job a few months ago, so hence was just a statement about the ''sponging side of comping''.

    :eek::eek:
    Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

    In less than a month the days get shorter too - just thought I would just squeeze that one in too! :j
