    No there isn't.

There is a VERY strong chance though, that people who don't watch BGT, (or Big Brother/X Factor/TOWIE etc,) think they are better and cleverer and of a higher class than people who do watch these programmes. ;)

I laugh at loud at these people. :rotfl:

That's a bit rude. I don't watch any of the above shows. Nor do I think I am better than, more clever than or of a higher class than people who do.

And yes people can be a bit brutal and harsh on here! I don't know why. There's the people who say what they think to people and are straight and honest, (which is fair enough.) And then there are the ones who are just flipping plain rude and nasty, and really talk down to you. I've witnessed this first-hand several times recently. Completely uncalled for rudeness.

Thank you for making me laugh out loud too :rotfl:

OP you must be a barrel of laughs. Are you one of these politically correct do-gooders that complains about anything that might offend anyone just for the sake of complaining? You sound like it.

You complained to OFCOM because someone made a tongue in cheek joke?! I can almost hear the laughter around the OFCOM office when that one gets read out and stuck on the notice board...

As others have said, I believe Dec made the remark in all innocence & it was also lost in translation. If he had assumed they were gay & said 'what does your husband/boyfriend think of this?' and they were actually straight they may have found that remark upsetting. Poor Dec sometimes fluffs his lines or says the odd silly thing, he means no harm I'm sure.

I disagree with the remark regarding the programme & those watching it not being intelligent. BGT is a talent show (probably fixed but who cares). It's in the 'Light Entertainment' category & that's why people watch it - to get some light entertainment into their lives - you can only watch so many documentaries, news programmes and dark dramas before feeling depressed & in need of therapy! However, Big Brother, TOWIE etc are not based on talent of any kind - it's like watching paint dry. Good for insomniacs but if some people find them fascinating that's their choice - variety is the spice of life.

Haha, this is a great place to come for people to think they know you.

FYI I am a barrel of laughs, I am not a do gooder and I certainly don't go around moaning.

My mistake, was writing the first post, my other mistake is coming back on to see what people have said. To say you all think I'm being a stick in the mood, you sure as hell keep carrying it on!

Oh and I missed QT because my level of intelligence stops at BGT :)

    and thats not a generalisation?

I don't watch any of the above mentioned programmes because in my opinion they are rubbish - but I watch plenty of other shows that lots of people would call rubbish :).

:T Well said. But as usual, the 'snobs' come out of the woodwork, acting all high and mighty and judgemental, with this high & mighty 'I'm better than you because I don't watch that/do that/read that' attitude. Whether it's tv snobs, food snobs, general lifestyle snobs, they come out in lots of threads like this, with their snooty 'I am middle class so 'I don't watch that/do that' attitude.

And there ARE people like this on here who look down on some people: no matter how much they might try to deny it. ;) Whether it's people watching what they class as crap tv, or reading certain newspapers, or eating 'ready meals' or whatever; certain posters always have something demeaning to say.

And I like the way it seems to be OK for certain people to say people who watch BGT are somehow less intelligent, but when the shoe is on the other foot and the people who watch it fight back, people get massively defensive and uppity, and say 'oooh sweeping generalisation much?' and similar comments. If you can't take it then don't dish it out. Simples.
