It was CLEARLY said as a joke! Dec did state afterwards, "Don't worry, it was just a joke" (or something along those lines...) when he saw that the dancers didn't get it.

I think the humour was just lost in translation as the main dancer in the group is the only one who speaks fluent English (found this out watching BGMT afterwards).

I don't understand what you would be complaining about? Do you find it offensive that he made a joke about their possible sexuality? Or are you offened that they didn't understand the joke and looked uncomfortable?

The joke fell flat because of the language barrier, Dec wasn't being offensive.

OMG ! It was a joke, get a sense of humour, it was clearly said as a joke.

While you're on with OFCOM why dont you also complain about the number of foreign acts on "Britains" Got Talent.

Or what about complaining about poor David Walliams getting a glass of water poured over his head because that was clearly assault !!

It's programmes (and threads) like these that make me feel so much happier that I got rid of my telly in 2009.

    Ye gods.

I think there are bigger problems for us all to worry about.

Some people spend their energies looking for things to be offended by.... others have a life.

I can only echo what Tiddles said ^^^

Too many people get offended at next to nothing.

Dec Donnelly didn't mean anything by it at all, and he and Ant are very inoffensive people... although I did sense a 'hashtag awkward' situation. :D I also wonder if Dec genuinely didn't realise that the men were gay? Maybe they actually aren't! Did they say they were And above all, does it matter? :)

I have to take umbrage at the judgemental comments about the programme and the people that watch it though.

People suggesting that people are thick or dumb or 'not intelligent' because they watch BGT is just bloody rude and judgemental and a huge sweeping generalisation. Just because they don't watch the kind of 'intelligent' tv that YOU watch (whatever that is: ) that does not make them thick, or YOU a cleverer/better person, because you DON'T watch it.

People need to quit the rude and obnoxious sweeping generalisations. Yes, BGT is predictable and possibly even fixed to a certain extent, but it is still entertaining, and it's just nasty to say or imply that the audience are all brain dead or thick. This kind of snobbery around what people watch or eat or how they live their lives, makes my bloody blood boil.

Thank you lily rose. I had a couple of my gay friends text me basically saying "did he really say that" like you said #awkward!

I started the thread, however after reading most of the comments I really wish I hadn't. Some of the comments are judgemental!

I personally like ant and dec but just thought the comment was a little close that was all. As others have said, it did seem to get lost in translation, hence the dancers faces.

Anyway, I'm over it, as well as these comments. But thank you and one other person who backed me up slightly :)
