Great going PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPiggers.
Kaz - thanks for sharing your scarey lesson with us.
Washed all the trainers to rehome/sell - going to try on one pair as they should fit me and I have old uncomortable trainers as I don't use them much.
Washed up and dinner cooking for DS2 and me. Just going to dust the hallway whilst dinner finishes. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Oh no how scary Kaz, well done on the quick thinking! I will not be switching mine on unattended again!

Well done piggers!
I've been productive today too. As has my purseinlaws had said they would buy the children's slide, but I told them not to, as they get us all manner of things all the time. Anyway, I purchased an @rgos gift card through my employer scheme (6% discount) only to find once it arrived that is for use in store only  my own fault for not reading the small print. So, now I have a £100 gift card, and have bought the slide on my credit card, plus had to fork out for a tyre and I know the other 3 need replacing too
MIL has said not to be daft and just let them buy the slide :A and when any of us need anything from @rgos we can just use the gift card until it's used up.
Must. Stop. Spending.
I've cleaned kitchen after dinner, put more clothes away and sorted a small ironing pile, DW wants to go on but given Kaz's excitement today I think I'll leave that till morning .
I found my bite cream but haven't tidied the camping bits in the garage yet. Checked some work emails though.
I think next week, I might add daily meal planning to my list. I never stick to a weekly one, so maybe I need to remind myself each evening to sort the next days meals.
So tomorrow we are having:
Crumpets and tea cakes for brekkie
Selection of sandwiches / wraps for lunch (poss DS friend, his sister and mum might be here)
Beef stew and dumplings for tea. Dumplings for DS, and beef for DD, lol. She is a carnivore. Loves steak!
Not doing any more jobs tonight - only browsing and reading!

Tea had, DD has had a bath (I'm going for mine soon), so while she was busy I finished the washing up, put some dishes away, and mopped the floor in the kitchen. I now remember why I bought a steam mop, the 'cloth' one I have (one you attach wipes to) is rubbish so that can be flung
I'll steam mop the floor tomorrow.

One of my FB friends told me to ring Hotpoint as there have been lots of DWs recalled. Ours isn't one of them (our old one which died after 13 months was) but I rang anyway. The chap said that someone will contact me by Tuesday and that normally in these situations, they will just replace them. I doubt my luck is that strong but, here's hoping.
Still getting pounding heart when I think about what could have been  but the end result is, it didn't happen and we're all safe. Although, I do now have lots of food to throw away and lots of washing up to do (by hand)

Kaz, ask them for some form of compensation, if they replace the machine ,they are admitting liability (IMO), say you want a supermarket voucher for £x, to cover loss of food, and £x for re decorating for a DIY shop, if you don't ask you don't get, hugs to you and the little kazes

Morning!
*rubs eyes* so tired! not had much sleep last night. Partly the littlies but mostly just couldn't sleep. Nowhere to go today though.
Just done the kids school lunches (they choose online) for the next month. They are now "operating" on a "poorly" teddy with the toy Dr kit
My kitchen looked nice and clean this morning
Going to strip mine and DD beds today, will put her heavier quilt back on. She's waking up cos she's cold I think. Last night I put another cover on her, acrossways, so I had lots of tucking in at both sides, and she still wriggled out of it!
Also want to get the last bits out of the boot of the car - some foam mats that can go in the top of the playhouse if they fit, and the big picnic blanket needs putting away.
Also have some sewing to do - have looked again at the playsuit and I'm sure I can attach the hem of each leg the snip out the crotch bit, converting it into the too I originally thought it was. As shorts it's just far too short for my liking (and my thighs :rotfl:) but I really do like the top part.
Also need to double check all my new home insurance docs. Still can't believe the saving, my renewal was £270ish and shopping around I got it for £157 (actually more cover!) plus £35 cash back from quidco! Having said that, I've spent about that amount on the car yesterday, and that's due to renew in a month too plus the MOT
Does anybody fancy a June challenge? I'm pledging to get my bills sorted out and tidy up my ISA accounts, plus lose 10lb (I know, I know, but I put on about that in the last month I think)
