Right Ladies I need some advice. DD1 has now finished college, she has a job doing 36 hours a week at the moment. What I need to know is how much housekeeping should she pay me? I'm obviously going to lose her child benefit and her share of child tax credit but I also don't want to rob all her money either. I just wonder what others do.

Still a far bit to do on the lists :o and I tend to avoid the girls room, that's their responsibility.

 Our Internet was off early this morning. Dh spent an hour on the phone talking to somebody in Asia. Fortunately this man was one of the supervisors and knew what he is doing.
It is back on now, and working faster than it used to :T

I am still struggling with the course but making progress, albeit slowly.

WMx1 done, about to hang it out now that the rain has stopped. It is quite warm and almost sunny here now

Hairdresser at 1.30, otherwise work, work and more work today! Sorry, not flying properly, but I might wash the bath and shower mats too.

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all. Virtual tea tree oil and conditioner to those who have virtual itching.

Somebody please give me a kick if you see me around this afternoon. I must get this course finished and not allow myself to be distracted by the Flylady antics!

Off to hang out the washing. Will time myself so that it gets done quickly ;)

ETA 5 minutes because I had to sweep up the mealworms that DH had put out for the robin - but on the wrong steps!

    Afternoon all

Haircuts just being finished off here and then after lunch shopping with DS2&3, one has just about no clothes and the other no shoes (six pairs of various too small sizes to be washed and rehomed). Flying will be minimal when I return.

Froddy - welcome back and hope you had a lovely time

Wendy - it is such a personal thing, do what sits right with you. Are you doing it because you 'need the money', are teaching her to 'pay her way in the world', that 'life's expensive' - this may help with your decision. Is it her first job? What will she get for her money? ie will she be responsible for her phone bill, clothes, toiletries, lunches etc this could affect how much you feel happy to ask for. I could tell you what I do but that will not necessarily help.

well this mornings plans changed drastically and priorities were altered, after mils docs appt we went for a mooch round the supermarket then had coffee and cakes before heading home. sometimes you have to do whats needed not what you think you ought do. bought her a nice tray of plants and told her ill be back round at the weekend to pot up her wheelbarrow.

going to put jacket pots in for dinner and go and ring my mum to tell her i love her.

Wendy - When I was living at home and earning £100 a week I paid my mum £40 a week. She did my washing, ironing, made packed lunches for me, bought toiletries etc with the weekly shop and provided me with money if I ran short :o But that was back in 1998/99. I was responsible for transport, my mobile bill, meals from the canteen, and socialising costs.

    Lunch break and list update.

Hmm... not very impressive, is it? Re mirrors - I can do those in 5 minutes flat, we only have two; one in the bathroom and one in the hall.:D

I have a mystery - I have a painful lump on the side of my head, for all the world as if I've bashed my head on something, but I don't for the life of me recall doing so. Weird.
