why is clearing someone elses clutter infinately more satisfying than your own. just spent a couple of hours in mils garage. have filled 3 binbags with plantpots (assorted sizes mostly new) so will ask both the local schools if they want any for their gardening areas and the rest will go on freecycle, a big pile of scrap metal at the bottom of her drive mostly tins, saucepans, baking trays and stuff like that but a big heavy pan stand thats gone rusty through being out so a scrapman will be happy to take it all i'd think. 5 carrier bags of assorted sheets towels and clothing have gone in the clothes bank (local one takes stuff to weigh in for rags) a big bag of stuff for the tip, and i havent even started on the paint tins. fil passed away almost 4 years ago and retired about 10 years before that and the garage is still full of paint tins.
think another tip run is in order.
gave the hairdresser my talking Elvis clock as shes a big fan and DS2 has grown out of wanting it in his room now (Dh is not a fan so id sooner it went were it will be enjoyed - its one of those that on the hour every hour elvis tells you the time ) it was just gathering dust in spare oom.

friend has invited us out for food tonight so only got to cook for the boys, well DS1 is living on soup at the mo and DS2 would live on pasta or noodles if id let him. last night they wanted hm mushroom and noodle soup.

going to wash up and might paint my nails

glad that MrLW is feeling better today LW, hope you start feeling better about things as well and glad you have another doggie visitor to look forward to.

    Hi all,

We are home again, been out all day, first library, then chemist ;) then inlaws. Kids have some new books to look at, DS has stopped scratching  and we've had an early tea.

I've had towels and bedding on a hot wash ;) including DD "blankie" but other than filling the DW that's really all I've done. Just as well we haven't been here too much to make a mess ;)

Tomorrow I'm being a naughty mum, they are going to school holiday club again and I'm not even working :o I'm taking the car for the A/C sorting and doing a spot of shopping, and generally having a day to myself. I suppose it seems daft taking an extra day off work for camping, only to book them into childcare on another day. But it's just the way it's worked out. Ah well, they will have fun and I will get heaps done. In theory :rotfl:

Right, I'm going to have another faff with DS hair

Nails all pretty and glittery and functional again.. I went with my mother for dinner... I now feel horrendous.. garlic does NOT like me... and the pasta is a bit questionable at the moment.. never mind, it was delishish! I also helped myself to a 'grown up pop' ... NAUGHTY mummy!!!

Bossy.. we combed every day until there were no more walkers and then every 2-3 days until no more eggs.. BOOOORRIIIINNNGGGGG task!!

I have been flinging again.. the box I condemned to death it now in the bin, out of said box I kept... 15 things!! This is a seriously large Lakeland box!!! ... There is visible floor and I am actually to the point of thinking what furniture I want to keep in there and almost able to get someone in to look at my fire and up my flue.. (put your dirty minds away!!) There was lots of wet debris in the fire so I am certain the chimney is letting in liquid.

Cat having crazy time because I have moved stuff about.

Front room is buried in crap .. I have dumped all the toys in there and am sorting out what we want to keep and flinging the rest in boxes and ringing a charity to come collect them with the info they WILL need sorting into sets etc.. I NEED it gone. My friend is manager at BHF shop so will come hopefully.. If I message her now I am under pressure to sort it :)

Next task while people eat.. getting the ebay box out and doing some pics and listing. I have a bid on the changing table :) Not a lot but better than nothing!

I have 2 more binbags for charity shop and one of rags and another binbag in the bin.. :) ... Carpet is visible!! I will do you 'after' pics because it has taken me so long to get it sorted.. though at the moment there are also 6 terracotta plant pots waiting to be filled with trifids! :)

Ooh good for you on the nails and pop - want to do my nails tomorrow...
Have done DS again, not found any walkers today just eggs but quite a lot (I have no frame of reference really, we are nitty virgins :p) however tonight was a lot clearer. I'll do him again tomorrow then see what's what.

I noticed the crusha syrup spillage last week is even on the ceiling  how the heck did it get up there? Anyway, the walls, although washed, haven't come up well at all so need a coat of emulsion. MIL wants the kids next weekend for a family thing, so I might do it then. Probably only wants one coat, could most likely get it done in an evening

Can't decide whether to squeeze in a hhc in the kitchen, or just lounge around a while :p

    Evening all

Almost no flying here today except S&S in kitchen over and over :rotfl: DD decided to make chocolate fairy cakes, so while the oven was on (and because I have heaps of baking ingredients all due to "go off") I whipped up a double batch myself and a 100% wholemeal loaf in the breadmaker :D

I managed to get my work done, although there is still a few bits to do. But after looking at the paperwork for almost 7 hours (save bathroom breaks & about 15min to make the chocolate cake) I've just put it all in a pile and I'll tidy it away tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, I have made a deal with DD. We are going to crank up the music on her stereo (only as it plays louder than any of the others), clean the house top to bottom and as a reward we'll get take-away, either pizza or kebabs depending on how we're feeling, for tea. This means in theory it gives our bodies 24 hour to get the junk through our system before we do a weigh & measure thing Sunday morning, then start a month long health kick ;)

I'm going to go and put DD to bed, have half an hour on a game then I'm off to bed. I'm hoping DD will be fast asleep so I can turn her story CD off. She watched a ghost programme before and has creeped herself out so has gone to bed with her stories on to keep her company and help her sleep. I have a feeling she'll stick to watching ghost programmes in the morning/afternoon from now on ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
