Morning all. Already at the paid stuff this morning so not a lot of flying will get done here again.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Oh dear, I served tea last night when OH came home from work at about 9:30pm halfway through eating it I realised the chicken was raw! Luckily the kids were all asleep so they didn't eat any and we have both got up this morning feeling fine
Nitty gritty comb is fab mine was £11 out of b0ots we also used tea tree conditioner and spray it seems to be working, our school recommends that we check once a week but I usually do it after I have washed her hair while she is still sat in the bath :rotfl: every time she has a bath she asks if I am going to check her for 'nuts' haha.
Anyway I am off to look at todays list and see what we can get done0 -

LW hope you are feeling a bit better today
DS2 is having a driving lesson today, first since he failed test no 2, it will be interesting what he remembers.
Going to potter for an hour doing my dailies and then either paperwork or flying depending on how I feel. Hoping it stays dry for a little gardening later. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

SSSHHHHH.... Don't tell the sky but it's stopped raining!
The washing that has been on the line for 3 days might actually dry now!! DD1 has nappies out there too..
I am getting a bit concerned about Dot stammer it is getting worse! We patiently wait for her to get the words out, #I've tried telling her to stop and start again but she just gets stuck... 'A' and 'C' and 'G' are really really bad.. the couldn't even get the word cuddle out last night and it is distressing her lots and she is getting really frustrated. It's heartbreaking watching her struggle when she can't get the words out. I might just give the SALT team a call see if they think it is an issue now.. you can self refer but I don't want to waste an appointment.
I need to ring physio too.. their building was flooded a couple of months ago and I don't know where they are at the moment.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
supporting vibes re Dot's stammer pigpen sometimes they grow out of them but obviously you are her mum and your gut feeling is the best decider here if shes getting upset and you are concerned get her checked so she can get help.
my youngest was a 'point and grunter' and late talker as he had everyone in the house knowing what he wanted so didnt need to bother talking. so he didnt start trying till we made it harder for him and he had a few sessions of therapy to get him out of pointing and into talking.
Dots problem is different because she is getting frustrated as she wants to say things she cant so because of that she needs help and reassurance.
just spent an hour in the 'Spare Oom' O,M and indeed G its full of junk!! ive got boxes and bags of stuff i told DD2 id let her have for a carboot to raise some money about 2 years ago and they are still there! will tell her at the weekend if shes not booting or eblaying the CS can have it all.
it does look much tidier now but will look better once the pile of 'stuff' has gone.
going to have a quick shower and wash my hair now ready for hairdressers later.
DS1 is back from docs shes sent bloods off to check for glandular fever etcSPC~12 ot 124

Morning all.
Struggling to wake up today, so everything I've read in the thread has "gone in one ear and out the other" so hugs, spoons & vibes to all.
Today is paid stuff. Things I meant to do yesterday for it and stuff that has to be done today means a full day of work. At least its a home-based week and I don't have to go out and see customers so the fact I feel awful won't have so big an impact, if that makes sense
The kitchen is a disgrace. A loaf we made yesterday required being wrapped in a floured tea towel for its second rise. All well and good, until I came to turn it out onto the baking sheet and everything got covered in a thick cloud/layer of flourI left it overnight so that any that was in the air could settle and this morning my kitchen looks like its been snowing inside :rotfl: DD is on cleaning duty when she's gotten up and had breakfast (letting her have a lie-in today so I can get on) as she refused to wash up the baking dishes, I did say it was the dishes last night or the whole kitchen this morning. I just cleaned up enough that I could make breakfast
It won't take her long but will mean all the cleaning cloths will need washing later :rotfl:
Personal:
Labels in uniform
Belt loops on trousers
Sewing repairs (School bag, quilt cover, my small bag)
DD shoes - made a start and its going to take longer than I thought!
Shredding
Work (paperwork) Thur - order in
Clean bins out - Next week when the recycling bin is emptied as well, but only if all the builders from over the road haven't parked in front of my house again. :rotfl:
Print calender for rest of the year
Sort DD's clothes / drawers / box pile  - DD done 3 drawers 5 to go (including desk) then onto hanging clothes & then boxes.
Bake (rolls, cake, twinks) - work in progress
Understairs cupboard /dig out DIY supplies
Sort out shopping list for DIY shop so I can start the decorating!

Right, time to get on with work.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

My kids have always been little tape recorders, so I always have to be careful what I say around them. Nothing more mortifying than your kid going in announcing they have/had nits!
DS until recently called it "looking for spiders", DD1 at the same age used to say she had "visitors".
My big girls are mostly immune due to regular application of bleach/hairdye and 220deg F hair straightners to poison/fry the little blighters. I am in desperate need to do my roots as it will look like I am trying a dip dye sprinkled with grey, if I have "spiders" in the mix aswell that should finish them off.
All this talk of those bitty things is making me all itchy :eek:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Right, I am going to try and do some PC tasks today that really need my attention.
Firstly, I need to free up some memory on my phone as lots of my applications have stopped working. 1957 photos and videos to download.
Need to sort out student finance for DD1 and DD2 for next year
Then I need to sort out upcoming appointments as I have really let that stuff slide.
HH PCadmin time anyone? The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Sorry to derail the thread
Now the proud owner of the nitty gritty which as you all predicted, is amazing, but, just, yuck!!! he was riddled, but I do believe it's pulled loads of eggs out.
Right. As you were!Bossymoo
