Evening all
Meeting de cluttered but feedback still required to be done. Too tired to do anything else tonight though.
Just going to put the DW on and see if I fancy washing up!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
It was known as 'walking dandruff' in our family.
Kilos of strawberries and gooseberries picked, and a bag each of broad beans and rhubarb (plus two bunches of asparagus picked by himself who grows it less than two hours before) hunter-gathered back to the house - all from my absolutely favourite pick your own place that I now realise I haven't visited for eight years. OH and I are now arguing about - jam, crumble, fool, slipping new baby broad beans on a slice of homemade bread toast with feta .... I foresee passionate foodie arguements well into the summer months.Better is good enough.0 -
*stamps foot* I HATE having f*£&ing Lupus! Just lost another day to the mother of all headaches.:( Made worse by the fact that Mr LW came home from work at lunchtime feeling poorly - his boss told him to come home, so it must've been bad
(he's ok now, though, thankfully); and Ted was collected at 16:30, so I had to drag my sorry a$$ off the sofa to pack his bag up and hand him over.
Only thing of any real use I've done today is order our Euros.
Glad DH is ok.. and hope you have a better tomorrow!! ((hugs)) My mother gets frequent migraines and is bed bound by them, I have seen how it is.. so big hugs.. tomorrow is a new day and a fresh start. just been getting acquainted with the nit comb
Poor DS. Can't find a thing on DD but he had a heap of small ones, a few big enough to see easily and there are some eggs too...
Small ones probably just hatched so he probably had a bit hoppety about 7-9 days ago.. if that helps identify patient X?
Vosene 3 in 1 shampoo with tea tree, boots almond and coconut I think it is spray leave in conditioner and it deters the grotty little blighters.. Goodness knows what God was thinking when parasites were created!?!?! Nitty gritty comb is the best thing since tinned peaches!
1 broken wooden empty pencil box flung.. that was huge and a binbag of gubbins gone.. I'm so fed up of mess.. Moomin and Tiddles off to KH's until Monday morningPoor Squeak was stood crying for her 'best friends' to stay here and their dad was taking them away, bless her little heart she was so sad. Mimi is still refusing to go, I totally get it but KH is having tantrums about it.
OH loaded the DW, so we have all clean pots!
Nail appointment in the morning thank goodness, they are a right old mess after all my flinging!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Agree Pigpen, I have two of them. It is the only thing that IMHO gets eggs out. Bossy, larger Mr T's sell them and good pharmacies for £10.....it might sound a lot for a comb, but it will save you a fortune in lotions and potions if you do the wet conditioner method :money:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Thanks ladies, I was reading about the nitty gritty last night, and my comb is a bit flimsy, so that is on my shopping list.
I've also heard hairspray helps keep them off. DD uses spray detangler so I've topped up the bottle with conditioner and tea tree oil and used that on me and her - so hard to keep DS at a distance, he's a cuddly boy.
Right, breakfast for small people and must start on the house!Bossymoo

Morning all - thanks for walking dandruff tips - have noted in case my small friend next door gets them. Bound to pick them up as it is impossible to read with/to her without getting close.
Have a whole day awol taking DAunt out- but it is tippling it down and we are on the bus! Just going to look for a waterproof coat that won't be too big or else I'll look like I've got my big brother's on - and I haven't got a BBro:rotfl:

I've also heard hairspray helps keep them off.
My boy uses a lot of gel and hairspray but still got them. Mind you anything is worth a try! He is 13 so they are around his secondary school at the moment. And he still likes an occasional cuddle to I have to discreetly avoid head contact!
Work today then voluntary job later. Dont know what to do about voluntary job, I do quite enjoy it but dont really have the time for it any more.
Will have a go at the bathroom and study (which is a tip) later.0 -

Good luck with the essay MRof3. I'm rooting for you.
It's been decided - strawberry jam, rhubarb crumble and gooseberry fool. That takes care of today, then. Off to see Simon Ruusel Beale in King Lear at the local Vue cinema tonight which I am heartily looking forward to.Better is good enough.0 -

Well I've had a bit of motivation this week - goodness knows where it's come from! We sorted through the play corner in the living room, have a bag to pack away and a bag to sell, finally got around to selling a couple of things so all of a sudden acquired £31 which is not to be sniffed atYesterday I tackled the bathroom (and I mean actually did it properly rather than just the bits you can see!) I've defluffed everything, chucked out old bottles and a stack of little sample bottles of things that we were never going to use. Cleaned the windows and everything! I'm VERY proud. I did have a bit of a moment though - one of those moments where you're stood in the bath fully dressed to clean the tiles (it's a corner bath so it's the only way) and you accidentally bump the shower on....hmmmm....oh well, it's only water!!
I haven't religiously stuck to the list but it still feels better - it's amazing what you can get done without a 1 year old in the house and when you don't have to go to work! This morning, Jonathan and I are going to get our hair cut, pick up some stuff I ordered and then go for lunch before collecting the small one and meeting a school friend in the park this afternoon. I'll be putting on some Bolognese to cook before that so that it's ready for tonight
Have a great day!
