Has anybody got a technique for dewebbing over the stairs? Even stood on tiptoes with the hoover extension I'm still a few feet too short (and OH isn't much taller than me)

I either get one of my cobweb brushes out; they are on bamboo poles so are long enough to reach mine (inherited, which is why I have two)

    or

I stand on the landing and hurl dusters at them:rotfl:

(This is when I am too lazy to get the cobweb dusters out. daft thing is it probably takes me longer - dusters are notoriously difficult to throw with anything bordering on accuracy!):rotfl::cool:

Email dealt with, all 400 of them! Mostly I didn't even need to read them as I've either read them on my phone or they were notifications of something being posted on a forum. They only went back to 1st March 2013 :o:o All done now, I have an order I need to write out then send a reply email to let the customer know I've got it ;) After I've had lunch I'll need to get on with the other admin. ;)

DD is destroying the kitchen :rotfl: So far she's made jelly sweets, jellies, a batch of fork biscuits which are currently setting up a little in the fridge as it was way too soft to do anything with, and now making a Paul H0llywood bloomer. The kitchen is covered in dirty dishes, ingredient packets & there is flour everywhere  But she's loving it and its keeping her mostly quiet while I work. I think I'll have a cup of soup for my lunch, I can make that in the safety of the livingroom :rotfl:

Sofa slip cover and sofa cushion covers wrestled back on to sofa and gritty bits tipped off sofa three days ago :o vacuummed up. Looks like new, which is amazing considering how cheap it was about eight years ago, I haven't washed the covers for two years and only did them once before that. Several layers of handmade chocolates had been melted into the cream fabric, too.

I'm still sort of working on a 'sort a space a day' idea and the walk in cupboard under the front steps is starting to show signs of ... not being totally chaotic.
    Better is good enough.

    WM1 just finished
    Washing up done
    Shower cleaned
Helped DS3 with part one of his homework, we will drop into the library for a book to do the second part (don't want everything done from google)
    Handwashing done

Amazing that I have done any. DS3 and I off to JL for our free tea and cake later; DS2 having a revision break playing footie with his friends.

Right going to empty the WM and then HHP, seeds back out for the birds and yes JTTOU the flower heads always have black bugs on before they open so goldfinches very welcome.

    Afternoon flyladies

Late checking in this week, but for good reason, I drove all the way to Wales to see my BFF yesterday and had a lovely time. Unfortunately I had to collect my children and bring them home with me whilst I was there :rotfl:

Been to the paid stuff this morning and flew around the 4 bed, 3 bath, giant conservatoried house in just over 2 and a half hours -- a new personal best :D

I have had a chat with DH about feeling underappreciated and overworked, considering we have 3 teenagers, a 12yo and a 9yo who is capable of far more than he likes to let on, I really don't think its fair that I should be left shouldering all the housework. DH has assured me he will have a good chat with his skids, and I have already whinged to mine. I left my lot with a mini list of stuff which needed doing in the 3 hours I was out and to be fair, they've all had a good stab at it. DSS is allegedly studying (although closes the web browser every time I go into the room) and DSD is in the huff [she came back yesterday with orange hair after her friend had bleached it for her, she tried to claim her friend had told her it was toner, not bleach] because I laughed and told her to pull my other leg because it has bells on :rotfl: so I'm not expecting much co-operation from either of them today.

Washing basket is almost empty after working the WM hard last night and this morning. I have a small pile of ironing to get done. We need to meal plan and go to Ald! and the vacuum is overdue a good workout.

But first, I need to ring the heating engineer as the boiler appears to have sprung a small leak :( Vehemently hoping it's not an expensive repair!
