Shame about the assistant's face when I handed her a 75 points coupon:rotfl:

Some of them really do make you feel like you're taking it out of their personal wages or something don't they. I bet putting her in her place has made your perfumes smell even sweeter ;):rotfl:

  • after finding that once again the machine said ' no offers are available to you'- even though I have built up a £50 spend on points - I nearly walked out of the shop. However, glad I didnt. Got a pasta machine for £6, National trust tea, biscuits, mugs and tray set for £4, remington bikini trimmer, £5, straighteners £5. xmas toys and various toiletries for next to nothing and a Roc set reduced from £29.99 to £20, then half price £10 - used a Roc voucher from free gift a while back so £5 - and it had a £5 voucher in it. So it was worth it. :j

Last time I went to Boots I put my card in the ACM and it said "Sorry not available at this time" when I clicked to see my offers. Tried 2 different ones, same. I thought the system might be broken so I was just about to tell the SA but I had my OH's card in my purse so stuck that in, hey presto, every offer imaginable. So I printed out a load of vouchers saying MR JOE BLOGGS on and it worked fine at the till, points went onto my card despite me having a different surname and definately not being a Mr!

Just thought I'd let you know that if any of you have lots of the ROC £5 vouchers and don't know what to do with them and you shop in Tesco, the voucher scans in Tesco. Had £5 off my groceries today with one - I noticed the barcode starts with 99 - so I thought I would try it and it worked.;)

Managed to get a few xmas pressies - a bead hair thing for £2.50, Geomag sets (glow in the dark) for £5, Lego figures £2.50, a Cricket lovers set for £5, a totes umberella £5 and a SImpsons clock for £5 (went back as it was stickered as £5 and i paid £5-it was a red sticker but the sa said it wasn't on the sale stand it was in homewear so just be careful). Paid using points-very impressed!

    Boots today...

Was hoping to buy 2 more photo albums I brought yesterday which were marked down to £1.25 each (BOGOF offer currently on) but sadly there were none left even though I left about 8 yesterday after buying 2.

Was going to buy 1 pk of nappies and baby clothes and use the 500 points on a £10 spend of baby items voucher but my total lot of baby stuff only came to £9.98. Till beeped and SA tells me I can't use the voucher whilst the 20% is currently on so I'm not sure f that is correct or whether it was becuase I was 2p short of a £10 spend. So annoyed as the 20% obvioulsy kicked in on the baby clothes which i WASN'T sure would happen or not.

If any fellow bootsers gets their 500 points voucher accepted please could you let us all know. I don't want to wait 1 month for theis 20% off to end before I use my voucher.

    With points got:

reduced Roses chocs with my Boots points (£2.50)
reduced elephant toy for £4 to put away for future present
reduced water softner for my mum (£0.50) (got one for myself on Wednesday)

    With cash got:
Silvikrin mini hairspray for £1.19 but got 100 points back with parenting voucher
reduced botanices mini bath item for 75p but got 100 points back with voucher from current Boots mag.

I did actually try to buy 2 Botanic mini bath items but the till beeped when I tried using the £1 off Botnics bath item parenting voucher even though it doesn't say anywhere you can't use it against a mini item.
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)

Am having a really bad week so thank you to joaniemerc who posted that the ROC voucher works in Tesco!

My local Boots has zero clearance bargains - everything is at £2/£3 plus and damaged!

I've also just had my GP account cancelled because I made a flip comment about Quidco on their ticktockshop chat thingy- stupid of me I know, but no warning or anything - just total wipeout with all my cashback earnt simply removed.

Am feeling most disillusioned right now and in need of a drink..oh look, here's a large vodka! :D
  • Today I got a lovely Botanics gift set which comes in a nice travel bag - lovely present (tempted to go back and get one for myself ). I also got Scrabble for £5!! I got a 75 extra points voucher from the ACM and then got an extra 75 points at the till for some reason so 190 points in total from spending £10. :j

This is my third visit to Boots in Canary Wharf this week!

I did an assault on the sale items yesterday, and it came to waaay more than I thought. I checked my receipt and realised that I had been charged full price for a few things and went back to the desk, whereupon the SA pointed out that my receipt showed I had been receiving a discount for being Over 60. Ooops. :o

She all but accused me of pinching someone else's card! Eventually she called the manager over who refunded me about £17 quid and recharged me £3 for the clearance items , but was utterly baffled as to why I had this discount. And is now contacting AC to remove it from my card.
