Boots Grabbit Bargains Thread part 10 - post your finds here

Options
Just posted this message on the last thread so I have moved it over here as it is currnet query. Yes I am still obsessing about flight socks, even though I am not actually going anywhere to actually need them.

So on Saturday I printed off a points voucher from the machine, 500 points I think. So now I have two vouchers, one in date and one out. There is also a 300 points voucher in the new magazine for flight socks.

So if I rolled up at the till with some flight socks along with some mini hair care, a magazine and a couple of different bodyform packs plus their various 100 point and 50 point coupons and the total spend voucher for spending over £10 does anyone think that all three of the flight sock points coupons would work together, new one, out of date one and magazine one?

Also wondering what to do with the flight socks after going through the till. If I returned them for a refund would all the extra points be deducted again from my total? If your original total is over £10 but after you have done a return it is under £10 would the extra 75 points also deducted?

Mary

  • As a newbie I'm not sure if my question is in the correct place - but I wanted to ask all you Boots bargain hunters, do you know when the 75% off swimwear sale starts?. It was about this time last year and I'm desperate for a new cozzie! Thanks.

U can only use one flight sock coupon per transaction but they are on buy one get one half price to help get your spend up!
As for refunds - it depends on the SA as to whether they notice the extra points - there not itemised so if u buy a few things they won't take the bonus just the points you get for that item without bonus

been to 3 boots today for the 40 pound camera.
    1st one, none at all,
2nd one got the Nikkon L4 one, ask the SA double check the price, its 40 pound, so bought that.
3rd one, got the Kodka c533, didn't like that, so ask for Nikkon 7900(which i really want), the SAs said somebody had already rang up and ask for it! (but they didn't got any anyway.) and the SAs started asking if it is on offered!!

back to car, check the contents in the box for the camera, batteries gone missing!!! back to the 2nd boots, they gave me a charger with rechargable batteries free of charge!!!
  • Got an ACM voucher today for 1000 points with purchase of any Fuji camera. Could be very nice indeed if any of the Fuji cameras are down to £40...

Birkenhead boots has two clearance shelves - one for mostly mens stuff near the photo processing, another amongst the baby stuff with memory cards (alas cheapest memory card £7.50), printer cartridges and toiletries (incl Trevor Sorbie shampoo for £2.25 that has 150 pts voucher from ACM.

I found this posting.... hope it helps

Went into a boots today. Sales assistant was telling me that the sale starts officially this wednesday but the sale items are going through the tills at the reduced price. She told me that the following digital cameras were reduced to just £40:

    Kodak C533 * Nikon Coolpix L4 * Pentax Optio S55 * Kodak Z700 * Samsung Digimax A50 * Samsung Digimax A400 * Nikon Coolpix 7900 * Minolta X60

There were also the following 35mm cameras reduced in the sale too:

    Olympus Mju III 120 £20 * Pentax Espio 115v £10 * Fuji Zoomdate 120 £20 * Fuji Zoomdate 90 £20 * Pentax Espio 140 £20 * Vivitar 3800 SLR £40 * Minolta Zoom 60 £10 * Olympus Zoom 105 £20
These prices are running 'silently' until wednesday but you can buy now and grab a bargain!

There are 4 Nikon Coolpix L4 left in the Tower Centre Boots in Ballymena. I bought one a couple hours ago with my points. They didn't have any of the other cameras in stock and the SA said that was all they were expecting. Hope thats of some use to the NI bootsers!!
