Secret life of a 32yr old man

  • Wow! You have done amazingly well so far. You'll be debt free in no time.

I'm very new to all this so don't have anything to add apart from someone mentioned survey sites to you... I'm no expert but I recently joined swag bucks. I followed a link on here that once you reach £5 worth of points it boosts your total by another £10. I tend to just have a go in an evening once my little one is in bed - if nothing else it stops me from internet shopping!

I'll look forward to seeing your totals come down again next month!

Also, I just wanted to add that I admire your attitude not only towards your daughter and doing the very best you can by her, but also your attitude towards your ex too. Very mature.

    Good luck
  • Thanks Pinkgiraffe, it means a lot your kind words. At the end of the day I'm on this board to express what I'm going through while I find it difficult to talk about to friends or family. It's nice comments like that which help encourage and keep me moving forward. I messed up so long ago that I even struggle to pinpoint how my debt started, but I feel like it's under control now and I can see the end.

My DD is everything to me, and while it's hard not seeing her as often as I have done, I make sure the time we do have together is special.

The relationship I have with my ex is not ideal, but it's about being as grown up about the situation as we can. We both decided to have our DD together, so it's both our responsibility. I might not agree with how it all works and the system etc, but I'll do whatever I have to do to give my DD the life she deserves and more.
  • I always look for your update and cheer you on from the sidelines, you are really making great progress. It will be great for you to be able to have a holiday with your daughter when the debt is gone. Good luck.
  • Just read through your diary Dean, you are doing so well :)

Hey all, I know it's early hours, but I can't sleep, I'm awake and I'm thinking about my money and I thought I'd post some good news. I'm going to pay the remaining £90 from the Piggy Bank loan I had meaning it's another loan settled and £90 closer to being debt free.

Wonga's paid off, Peachys gone, Satsuma is no more and Piggy Bank is about to join them! :) - I can't tell you how much I hate PDL's and once these are gone I'll never ever let myself go down this route again!

    Anyways, that's me!

    Good morning! haha
