I'd have paid £22 for that lot any day of the week.

I couldn't watch any more, it's painful. They make Del and Rodney look like Alan Sugar and Richard Branson.0

The auctioneers featured on the program will probably be inundated with hopeful newbies for the next few sales, so if I were planning a trip I'd wait a while 0 0

            Well, that made me laugh.
When he visited Radio Northampton I was in bits. It's a bloody shed! Hilarious.
As for Laurel and Hardy I'd said to DH they wouldn't be worth more than £150 because I see them regularly along with blues brothers and betty boops and they never sell for much. I was practically screeching at the TV to snatch his hand off for £300 but greed got the better of him didn't it?0

I was half expecting the manager to say, "No we don't want them, they were bought from us in the first place"
But as you say, the manager gave him a clear buying signal "I can only go to three hundred on my own" so snatch his hand off. Actually I'm surprised he didn't try "well give me £300 for Olly" and then do a separate sale for Stan. Might have worked, might not.
The other thing I didn't understand about the whole sketch with those two statues is he got them out of a large Transit, so why carry them around stuffed in the back of his estate car in danger of falling out on the road or attracting the old bill?0

The other problem is with the Bolton house is that I believe they are signing up with the sale room.com and that usually puts paid to the very low cost lots.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Some really good auctions have gone online which makes it almost impossible to buy anything. Plus the auctions take forever. Went to one recently that started at 10 am and finished at 8 pm :eek:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever 0 0

Oh don't remind me, our local general sale, which I guess is also a 'trash 'n' treasure' auction is on this weekend and is the first one since this series was aired, so I expect we will get inundated with loads of 'hopefuls', shame there's no footy on this weekend that usually keeps the crowds down.
Oh and on the subject of the watches. Did the woman really admit to selling counterfeit items on air. I'm sure after the valuation of the 'Rolex' she said she could still get twenty quid for it.
I was also wondering how many of these 'traders' are registered with HMRC as self employed?0
